win 2000 and a hp cd-writer 6020

This is a discussion about win 2000 and a hp cd-writer 6020 in the Windows Hardware category; I have a hp cd-writer 6020. according to hp's website the 6020 won't work because of changes made to the 2000 operating system. if any body out there has gotten the 6020 to work under 2000 I would love to hear from them.
