win 2000 Server fails to start at first Login
This is a discussion about win 2000 Server fails to start at first Login in the Everything New Technology category; I am having win 2000 server. Whenever I am trying to login to it it refuses to show anything. I have log off every time by pressing ctrl+alt+del and again log in with same admin id and password. Any idea why this is happening? It may be trying to start up some background programs when you login. You can either wait for it to finish or load Explorer manually, by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del, load Task Manager, click on Application tab, select New Task and enter explorer.exe.
Look in Startup folder and in the Run section in Registry to see which programs are loaded when you log in...

peterh=> There is nothing in startup.In RUN of registry there is one strange thing named kalvsys.Removed it but it again gets entry into registry after restart.All others are win 2000's vital executables like msn,svhost,csrs,svxhost,svchosttt,bling,smsc,msblast etc.
