Win2K and 3D Studio MAX r2

This is a discussion about Win2K and 3D Studio MAX r2 in the Windows Software category; I know when looking up the compatible applications, it says to use SETWIN95. CMD on Setup. exe, and everything works fine. However, there's no further information. I'm trying to get 3DSMaxR2 installed but it punts me out saying I must have Windows 95, or Windows NT 4 to install.

However, there's no further information. I'm trying to get 3DSMaxR2 installed but it punts me out saying I must have Windows 95, or Windows NT 4 to install. I've tried running setup from a command prompt to add a switch, but that doesn't work. I've even made a shortcut to the setup program, with the SETWIN95.CMD in it.

Am I doing something wrong? I've tried:
setup setwin95.cmd
setup -setwin95.cmd
setup /setwin95.cmd
setwin95.cmd setup

and even setup /?, which just initiated the setup program, rather than giving me a list of possible switches.

Is this setwin95.cmd a file that I can download somewhere? If so, does anyone have the link? I searched my hdd, and my win2k cd, and my r2 cd... couldn't find it anywhere... though I did find a ... never mind. Just did a search on my NT 4 cd, and found it. I'm going to try it out, I'll let ya know what I find.

No go. Keeps saying that 'imagecfg' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

I'm running build 2195, just need to know what I can do to get 3D Studio MAX 2 installed.

I looked through the file... it's setup like a batch file, so I'm sure it can be edited to make it work... I just need to know the correct filename for build 2195... because I did a search for imagecfg, didn't find anything... was it renamed for build 2195?

Any help would be appreciated.
