This is a discussion about Win2k and Audio programs in the Windows Software category; Hey, Ever since I installed LiveWare3 I've been having problems with my music programs. Programs such as FruityLoop2 now have very skippy playback or won't playback at all. Reaktor also has the same problem.
Hey,
Ever since I installed LiveWare3 I've been having problems with my music programs. Programs such as FruityLoop2 now have very skippy playback or won't playback at all. Reaktor also has the same problem. The problem I think has something to do with DirectX but, it might also have something to do with LiveWare. Anyone have any ideas?

I believe, from reading previous forum messages, that you need to disable pci (or is it irc?) steering. Goto device manager and then to your soundcard and properties, and check off disable pci steering. hope this helps.

Most 3party apps do not work rigth with LW3
& Win2K.
Same thing with NT4 in some caes
There a small list problem that show up with NT4, SMP not working & Some 3party apps not working.
Yes I try disable PCI IRQ steering to see that help but may not be the case.
So ask your self dose buildin LW3 apps work ? if YES then no need to disable PCI IRQ steering.
