Win2k dumping NIC

This is a discussion about Win2k dumping NIC in the Windows Networking category; Windows 2K will dump my NIC for no apparent reason. I will turn on the comp and then it will be gone. When I restart it will show up again. And so on and so on. When I try to load the drivers from windows it says that it cant find them.

Ya know, I'm starting to wonder if the entire 3com line of NICs is under some kind of curse in win2k. I've had three 3com ISA NICs, and two of them have already died for no real reason. They just stop working. Windows sees them fine, but the card doesn't know what to do.

i've used the 3com 905 series extensively both at home and at work, and they've never given me any problems
