Win2k + G400 + TFC + multiplay (inet) = 0

I can start up a LAN game, join, play all I want, but if I attempt to join a network game, I either lock up, or get messages back saying that it is unable to parse server messages.
This is really weird... I can start up a LAN game, join, play all I want, but if I attempt to join a network game, I either lock up, or get messages back saying that it is unable to parse server messages. The NIC works great under all other circumstances.
