Win2k Internet sharing with win98 SE?
This is a discussion about Win2k Internet sharing with win98 SE? in the Windows Networking category; I have a 6 comp network. 4 comps are running win2k professional, 1 is running advanced server, and one is running win98 se. All five of the win2k computers can use the dsl line that the advanced server comp is connected to.

Well, i have a simular network setup, win2k on a machine that is connected to the adsl modem itself, then win98 and win2k machines connected to it. HereΒ΄s how i got it setup:
Server: IP Address - 192.168.0.1
Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
ICS enabled on the ADSL dial up
connection.
Client: IP Address - 192.168.0.?
Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
Gateway - 192.168.0.1
DNS - 192.168.0.1
and then my ispΒ΄s DNS
thatΒ΄s all the setting i needed to do, works fine except for sending email which iΒ΄ve posted about to get help with, i have those setting on both the win2k machines and win98 (both SE and regular win98) i hope this helps
