Win2k & Lexmark 1000 - Help

This is a discussion about Win2k & Lexmark 1000 - Help in the Windows Hardware category; Has anybody been able to get the Lexmark 1000 to work under Win2k. Lexmark are crap at supplying their customers with current drivers for upto dat os's. Scott.

Has anybody been able to get the Lexmark 1000 to work under Win2k.
Lexmark are crap at supplying their customers with current drivers for upto dat os's.

No. It will never ever work and Lexmark has stated that they will never ever build a driver for it. I sold mine (for $30) and bought an HP932C, which is an awesome printer.

Yup won't be buying any more lexmark printers!
 
Although lexmark told me there is no way for my jetprinter 1200 would work in win2k nor would they ever provide drivers, and that I should go and buy one of there newer printers.
Thinking this was no way to solve the problem I did some digging around and found out the HP DeskJet 500 driver would work.
And it works very well without a glich.
So needless to say I don't think it would have been too much trouble for lexmark to provide a driver they just chose not too!
 
Anywho you might want to try the HP drivers not sure what the difference is between the 1200 and 1000 jetprinters.
