WIN2k Server
This is a discussion about WIN2k Server in the Windows Networking category; Is it necessary to Be wired to the network to Complete the Server Wizard? I was testing Win2k Server in my machine before i install it on a new E60 Server and it gave me a error : Network cannot be found.
Is it necessary to Be wired to the network to
Complete the Server Wizard?
I was testing Win2k Server in my machine
before i install it on a new E60 Server
and it gave me a error : "Network cannot be found". This will be my first network implementation with this product
P.S: I don't have a Network Adapter, too
Thanks! 8)

I know WinNT Server 4.0 had to have some sort of NIC adaptor installed to work correctly, and you can get around this by using the MS Loopback adaptor.
But I thought that W2K would do this for you as it tried to detect your NIC and couldn't find one.
But really, a NIC isn't going to cost no more then $30 - $40. If you can afford W2K Server, I'm sure you can afford a NIC.
