Win2k System Log problem

This is a discussion about Win2k System Log problem in the Slack Space category; I am getting this message whenever I bootup and at the log-in screen Win2k say: System Log is full. So I went to Event Viewer and clear the log and restart the computer. I would get this message again and I go WTF??? It can't get full in 2 mins.

It's very easy to fill a log in a few minutes. I have seen this with DNS and Netlogon errors in NT, and McAfee 4.x (before 4.5) in Win2K using dynamic disks. If the system feels really sluggish and you can get into the event viewer, try to stop the logging service and fix the issue. I had to stop the event log service for the McAfee problem, then I was able to uninstall the program. I couldn't uninstall McAfee while the log was running due to the rapid filling of it.
