Im running win2k pro / winME dualboot. In win2k, there is no problem with cdromplayer, but when I restart, or shutdown- power up to winME, my cdrom drive is gone. I tried reinstalling the IDE Busmaster but this doesnt help.
System was working great all day until now, all of a sudden. I have only been using win2k today, and installed some apps etc, but ONLY on my D:\ (win2k) drive.
 
Anyone have any ideas?

Sometimes when I boot, the cdrom is there, and sometimes its not !
I dont get it, I seated the IDE cable firmly, even tried another one. I tried re-install VIA 4-1 drivers, even every driver separately.
 
The VIA PCI IDE Busmaster is enabled, so its not that either.
 
Last time it was enabled, in devicemanager, I choose "Refresh" and it gave a blue-screen error message. Something about "SCSI port failed". I dont have anything SCSI on this computer.
 
Its working perfect in win2k.
