WinNT4.0 and directX..........
This is a discussion about WinNT4.0 and directX.......... in the Windows Games category; What versions of directX are working on NT4. 0? Is there a controlpanel for directX delivered separately from the it? Does Accelerators with AGP port work on NT4. 0 without any necessary changes in HAL.
What versions of directX are working on
NT4.0?
Is there a controlpanel for directX delivered separately from the
it?
Does Accelerators with AGP port work on NT4.0 without any necessary changes in HAL.dll?

NT 4.0 comes with DirectX 2 and service pack 3 upgrades it to version 3.
There is also an unofficial DirectX 5 rip.
This means that you can't play games requiring later versions of DirectX and no Direct3D hardware acceleration is supported. So basically you have to stick to old games and OpenGL-based games (or upgrade to Windows 2000).
