This is a discussion about winxp renamed my drives! in the Windows Hardware category; my partitions are differnt in winxp than in my win98. Say drive e:\ is in win98 named Echo. Well, in winxp, what should be my e drive, is my d partition. . . . . . Any idea to fix this?.

In 2K you use the Disk Administrator to assign drive letters to your drives. Try that. Its under erm, Computer Management under Administrative Tools.
