This is a discussion about WTF with Centrix data circuit? Need Help!! in the Windows Hardware category; Bell just installed a centrix data circuit (digital) 56k this morning. Bell just installed a centrix data circuit (digital) 56k this morning. I asked for this circuit so I could have dedicated 56k for my business. We have no broadband technology here.

The tech tested the circuit and said it checked ok. I tried to use it to connect to my internet provider and nothing happens. I called Bell and asked them why I can't use the line and they said I must have a hardware problem, and as far as they were concerned, the circuit is fine and the rest is up to me to deal with.

I've been calling modem manufacturers and other telco utilities and no one seems to know anything about this. Besides the fact that Bell charged me a lot of money to install this line, I am totally p*ssed they expect me to know more about this technology than they do.

Anyways, if I can't find out if any modem will be able to use this line in short order, I am going to tell them to stick it up their collective data switches.

If anyone knows anything about this technology, I would be extremely grateful for some assistance.
