Yamaha 4x2x6 cdrw erase speed?

This is a discussion about Yamaha 4x2x6 cdrw erase speed? in the Windows Hardware category; Hey I have a scsi yamaha 4x2x6 burner and I don't know if this thing is messed up. My friends ide HP 8x4x32 can erase a cdrw in just under 1 minute using the quick mode, on my yamaha it takes almost an hour with using the same erase mode.

Hey I have a scsi yamaha 4x2x6 burner and I don't know if this thing is messed up. Both quick and full erase modes take the same amount of time, around 40-50 minutes
