i found this at another forum, but its good advice. 1 problem, how do you do this in 2000? anybody? I've seen this coming up more and more all over the place so I figured I'd stick it here. Avi files (divx) can be trouble in xp.

How do i get windows to remember my folders view type

Windows 2000 or XP on new PCs

I have been visiting several computer hardware websites offering pre-built systems and the option of Windows 2000 Pro or Windows XP Pro. Hmmm, sound interesting. If XP is so rock solid then why the option of a 3 year old OS? Did I miss something.

StyleXP? - not sure, but some of the icons downloads i got from that site where kinds cool, as well as many of the skins they used - but then their site crashed and they lost alot of stuff, not sure if they ever got it all back.

Hello. I just got a new work computer for a new employee. The computer is a Dell Celeron 1. 7 with 128 MB of Ram and Windows XP Home Edition and Office XP. It's connected to our network. Since getting this computer, our new employee has been experience very slow issues with trying to open documents on our network.

Drive partitions/unpartitioning

I got into partitioning to easily seperate my harddrive and to make backing up/reformatting easy. But, I ended up making a partition that I no longer want. Here is what I want to change: On my backup 80 gig hardrive, I have 3 partitions.

After not going to Windows Update for many moons, I decided to give it a look. Now I have WinXP SP1 installed but was alarmed to see about 30 updates still available on the site. I am still a pitiful modem dweller at home and can't be bothered d'loading the specific updates at work, burning them etc.

network connection for win2k

I can't get my network connection to work for my 2 win 2k machines. I have a direct connection between the two machines, both have the win2k operating system and the connnection worked previously before i got a new computer.

A Program like norton internet security just not as bloated

I love norton internet security minus one thing. . its bloated like every other symantec program. I just don't know anything else that is incorporated into one program that has a personal firewall, and privacy/popup blocker, AND an anti-virus as good a NAV.

XP professional compatibility question
