It seems there is another bug with windows xp. I am running a simple network with an NT server. My windows 98 machine has no problem logging into the NT server. But windows xp machine only see's the NT Domain Sometimes.

Win 2k shutdown blue screen problem

Hi everyone, when I shut down win 2k and after it goes through it's closing process, I am left with a nice blue bright screen and it stops there. THe system hangs and does not power the machine. Any fix to this problem? Thank You.

I've just finished a major change to my Win2K PC - going from Win2K under the FAT32 file system to Win2K under NTFS. Not a conversion but instead a change from ground zero, involving deletion and reconstruction of the partitions and then reinstallation of Windows and apps.

ok, it has only been happening recently. I am able to move the mouse around and switch between progs but can't actually do anything - like close a program - do send and recieve - etc It is as if the memory is ful and i have to wait for it to clear! it only takes 30secs or so but it is really frustrating! anyone kno ...

the disk check could not be performed because exclusive access to the drive could not be obtained. . . . . this happens when i run disk check or norton disk check or anything similar. what is causing this and how do i fix it win2000 60 gig hd on ata133 card.

Hi All, I sometimes get this BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) and I think It might have to do with my Logitech wireless USB mouse. . The message in its entirety reads as follows. I have bolded the important parts I have also included a link to my system information below.

I'm running XP and tried installing Darkstone several times, using a variety of compatibilty mode combinations as well as straight from the CD. Every time I try, I get an error: -1 General file transfer error.

Hey guys, I'm planning another WinXP reinstall, and plan to use my Promise IDE RAID controller. I forget the model number, but it's an ATA133, not supported natively by WinXP AFAIK. Anyhow, on a fresh reinstall, I know I need to press F6 to get that RAID/SCSI menu.
