Halflife Question!

I put this message here since more people are in this hardware area. Ok, when i use half-life in win2k over a lan network, i create a game and it starts and then a few seconds later, it kicks me out and says : WSSCONRESET error and and exits to windows.

WIN2K, FF8, G200 and DX8

Okay people! here's a puzzle: I have win2k FF8 works perfectly, excepted that I cannot set the textures to 8 bit! setup says 8 bit palleted textures fail I got a Matrox Millenium G200 and it was working fine in Windows98 Any clue ?

Half-Life Black screen ....

Installed and patched hl up to 1. 0. 1. 6 or whatever the latest is. When i tried to run it, i got a black screen, couldn't ctrl-alt-del or anything. Ran hl. exe -console and got into the game, but anytime i tried to launch a new game it froze.

Half-Life Server Crashes?

Anyone ever try running a server (not dedicated) with Half-Life? When ppl join after awhile I crashes with the msg WSAECONRESET or something like that? Does anyone have any ideas? Btw, does anyone know how to specify which LAN Adapter HL uses in refreshing the LAN servers? Because I want to set it to cable games, b ...

"NT Patches or upgrades for West Front "

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knew how to upgrade Talonsofts West Front to NT so I canplay it in my Lunch Hour. I see that it must be possible. Other games have been adapted. Thankyou or looking at this and please, please help.

Half-life under Win2k

I have just tried to install and run Half-life under Win2k, but made a program error right away. Does anyone know if it helps up? Or is there any other way of getting it to work? It's ver. 1. 0 of Half-life, and build 2195 of Win2k.

I wasn't sure weither to post this in apps or games so i'll put it in both. Theres an app in the support folder on the win2k cd, apcompat. exe, that from what i see can let you choose to install the program so that it thinks its in win98/95/NT4.

Crazy, small problem with Half-Life, Win2K and 770 Ultra TNT

Strange problem. . with Half-Life. . Running latest version. CLEAN INSTALL OF WIN2K. . . When launching Half-Life everthing seems fine. . Finally when game launches I still can see the previous screen before the game launch screen over the top of the current game.

Whats with DX7 & Win2K?

I was under the impression it was supposed to be a fully functional DX7. I have a Voodoo3-3000 AGP with the retail drivers. They show D3D is enabled in DXDIAG. But so many games that require DX6 do not work.
