IPX games on Advanced Server

I can't get IPX based games like Starcraft or Tibrian Sun to work on Win2k Advanced Server. On the same PC with Win2k Professionel it ran fine, but now with W2k AS I can't see a started game and when I start a game the others ( 1 Win98 and 1 Win2k Pro) can't connect.

dx 5 in w2k?!?!!!!!

I ran dxdiag, and it told me that 1) it couldn't run advanced driver tests 2) I have dx5 installed on my machine! how'd that happen? what's up with that? anyone got any Ideas? anyone got dx7 full setup that they could e-mail me? ssawoody@earthlink.

ok right now im fuming. i got soldiers of fortune, installed it ( and the patch ) and it crashes the whole pc, every time. ive used every tip i can find, includin using power user accounts. i have the detonator 5.

Okay, i had the sims installed on my dual cel 400@550 w/ 384mb ram (pc100) and 3 different vid cards (Voodoo3 2000, Riva TNT, Creative Banshee) and it would always hard lock right in the middle of the game, since then i sold my celerons and and getting ready to buy 2 500's or an Athlon 800 and mobo.

Quake 3 single player mode dosent count up score!

ok, i am running the 1. 16n version of quake 3, and in single player mode, it dosent add up the score. it apppears that it thinks it is in multiplayer mode stuckin in it, becaue it says waiting for players to join at the top of the screen.

what sort of frame rates do u get in ut useing direct 3d,aka tnt2 etc,did you need any patchs? is your os full version or beta or rc1,2,3? i was going to buy an tnt2 ultra,and when i took the ut demo to the shop i was buying it from,we put it in and no go would only run in a window in software ,and direct 3d ran ho ...

This subject is beat to death but new drivers come and so on. . . I have a creative Annihilator Pro and use the 5. 13 beta drivers. I only play in 1024 with everything maxed so I dont bother to test with anything else.

Heroes III Millennium Edition in Win2k

I'm have a problem with Heroes III Millennium Edition in Win2k. During the install, the installer crashes out at random points during the file copy process. I have no idea why it would be doing this, i've installed many other applications with no problem(so it ain't the cd drive).

Quake2 CTF laggy in win2000. help!

Quake2 CTF is laggy in win2000. I play through my network card connected to a isdn router. I do not experience this lag in win98se at the same site. Are there some network settings that can be changed to fix this problem? Does anybody else have this problem with frame drops online? Single plater Quake2 plays smooth ...

Superbike 2000 (EA Sports)

I have Superbike 2000 and I can't get it to load. It will play the EA sports logo then crash to the desktop. I do not want to reload windows 98, I love the preformance of Windows 2000 I was wandering if anyone has found a solution yet, Thanks LargeMarv.

Bad Performance

I think my computer is performing worse than it should be. The specs: Dual PIII-600 512mb PC-133 18. 2GB 160/Ultra SCSI Hard Drive Geforce DDR 5. 14 drivers Unreal Tournament at 800x600 with textures set to medium @32bit colors I only get 30-40fps using Time demo stats.

sblive and SoF problem

ok, i just got my sblive!1024 player afew days ago, and it installed fine had no probs with the liveware from the creative site. But, i've noticed sometime in SoF (haven't really played many other games as much so don't if it happens in them aswel) the sound goes all weird.
