i installed unreal tournament under win2k. whenever the game starts, it freezes in the menu. tried the openGL video mode, but the problem here is that the games is EXTREMELY slow and unplayable. i was using the nvidia 3.

I just installed dx 8 for win2k and unfortunately they dont work too well. Well its really my fault for being curious. Anyhow how do i go about installing win2k dx 7 drivers again? looked in win2k cd theres no instance of dx7 installation anywhere.

Ultima Online freezing under win2k

UO freezes randomly for me under win2k. some times it takes a long time sometimes its only 20-30 minutes, but its really making me mad. i have died countless times because of this stupid problem. anybody know how to fix it? thanks -tristan.
Half Life will only run in 16 bit color!

I usually keep my desktop at 32 bit color. Just recently (I can't pinpoint when this started) half life pops up with a screen that says I need to switch to 16 bit color on the desktop in order for it to run.

Does anyone know when they are going to fix quake3, is it a driver issue? or is it quake3 issue? What causes the darkness in quake3. Right now i play on vertex, but i rather play in lightmap and see the game the same way i saw it when i was using win98 se.

This site is still called NT compatible, but all the new harware / games / apps are only listed with W2K compatibility. What about those of us still using NT4? We would quite like to know if a game runs under NT, you know.

I have switched from a VIA based system to a BH6 rev 1. 01 (BX Chipset) system and it is extremely more stable in Win2k that my pa-2013 rev 2. 1 was but I still am not able to run in agp2x with lockups or screen corruption.

Ran into an interesting problem today, trying to play Omikron: Nomad Soul. After going through a full 1. 5 GB install, the game would crash out saying that 'omikron. exe' has created errors. Uninstalled Omikron.
syncing to monitor refresh under d3d, v3

Has anyone figured out how to turn of the monitor refresh syncing for direct 3d. Seems like all the win2k overclockers for the voodoo3 have this feature disabled. (I use Gary Peterson's Voodoo3 Overclocker) I've looked everywhere and can't find any way to do it.
