Win2k Adv Server/Active Directory

Ok. We've got this server box, and it runs Advanced Server. We've got it doing Active Directory, because it's fun, manages our network, and makes things a lot easier. Plus it's needed for Exchange 2000, and some other cool toys.

Multiple video cards, one monitor

Could I hook up a Matrox Millenium PCI and a GeForce 2 to a single monitor, using the Millenium for 2D and the GeForce for 3D? Several people have commented that the Geforce is notorious for poor 2D quality at higher resolutions.

HP Problems in Windows 2000

Okay this problem has been annoying me for far too long. Maybe somebody else can help because I've about given up. I have a HP Pavilion 8665C computer. HP doesn't seem to think the Pavilion line of computers should be used in Windows 2000; however, I have chosen to do this.

DMA in Win2k

I have 2 drives on my primary IDE chain. Both are ultra DMA 66 drives. The primary is always in PIO mode, while the secondary registers in UDMA mode. I have use DMA when available selected. Why am I not getting UDMA on both drives? TIA.

Direct3D - very bad performance with GeForce

OpenGL games like Quake3 run with incredible performance and I play them with 1280 x 1024 32 bit and all details but Direct3D games are as slow like you would exspect it from a voodoo1 or somthing. Hello all. MY system specs are as follows: Amd 750 Asus K7M 256 Ram pc-100 Asus v6800 Geforce pure SB live! maxtor 20 gig hard drive. I have a dual boot with Win2k pro, and WinME (had 98SE but was trying to solve my problems so i upgraded) I am not sure about the drivers etc.

Quick question about RAM

I just splurged and bumped my RAM amount from 160(1 128 and 1 32) to 384(3 128) I figured this would help keep my system running well when I start using it as a file, web, media, proxy server this fall.

TNT2 and dual processor system

Anybody had any luck with any dual processor system, TNT2, and ANY TNT, Detonator, Geforce, whatever video drivers? I cannot get my system to pass even the most basic tests (ie: directx diagnostic) without a hard lockup if I use any video card based on TNT2 chipset.

Win2k and USB CD-RW Drive/Burning Software?

A couple of weeks ago, I got the MITSUMI 4802TU External CD-RW Drive (USB) for my Dell Inspiron 7000 notebook. Windows 2000 recognized the drive automatically (despite claims from the distributor Pacific Digital that the drive only worked on Windows 98); plus it seems to be using hardware specific drivers.
