Any of you whistler 2257 personal users getting asked for your whistler personal CDs on startup because of file protection?? It keeps happening to me i think its because of the DX 8 beta i installed not sure though.

Sblive and 4 speaker support in Win2k (playing DVD's)

I have a Sblive running in win2k with Liveware 3 When playing DVD's in eithor WinDvD or PowerDVD I dont get any opetion to turn on 4 speaker support (I used to when I was running Win98) Does anyone else have this problem? Is it the Live Drivers or my DVD programs.

ABIT BP6 Dual PIIIProcessor. Any hints?

Hi, I have an ABIT BP6 board. This board worked fine with two celerons so far. Now I bought two PPGA-to-FCPGA adapters and two 800MHZ FCPGA PIIIs, but the board refuses to work with more than one processor.

well im on 16 colors with 640 by 480 here is the prob: everything was working fine untill i tried to install detonator 6. 41 drivers. after trying to install them it gave me an error saying they cant be installed, so i tried reinstalling the old 6.

3com Cable Modem VSP

It's a one-way cable modem and I need to find Windows 2000 drivers for it. Someone told me they had it working under windows 2000 but didn't tell me where to get it. It's a 3com Cable Modem VSP, there aren't any on the 3com websites, and the NT drivers don't work.

MPG problem

For some reason. . my machine, whenever i play mpg movie files, says The version testing date is expired. after which it plays the movie fine, but it is still really annoying, i tried unistalling and resinstalling wmp7, but this made no change.

I have a geForce DDR that was working just dandy with the 6. 18 Det3 drivers on. Stupid ol' me decided to install the 6. 31's. They never install correctly so I am stuck in 800x600 with 16 colors. I looked around the net for older drivers, but the one site that has them all (reactorcritical) gives me a Forbidden me ...

HP 8100 Quit working under Win2k but works under WinME

I have a HP 8100 CDRW. A few weeks ago I could no longer record CDs. This came shortly after I installed a slave drive (fujitsu - see below) on the primary ide bus and a 48x CDROM as slave on the secondary bus.

Has anyone had problems w/ Win2k, Hauppauge's WinTV, and the remote that comes with it? I think I have everything installed properly, but when I hit buttons nothing happens. Any help is appreciated. -Mike.

In the heat of the confusion me and my friends have had over whether or not this build was a true build, with the damn fake 2264 pictures, up to as far as people already having 2271. We have decided that 2267 is the true build.

I just installed my new Geforce II MX with the twinview connectors. (two vga connectors) I am trying to run dual monitors like I had previously done with two video cards. All I can do right now is do a clone and span display.

I'm looking at doing away with 2 computers, and just souping up my Cusl2/800eb. . . and I'll need a new case for the additional IDE parts. I've convinced myself to get a SuperMicro 760A. . . as I've read good reviews about it's little brother, the 750, and it will suit my needs and allow plenty of cooling options.

Here is the problem I am having. I run a FTP with like 7 Cd-roms one it. . . Every once in awile one of the cd roms can't be accesed. I mean I put the cd in and finds it and days later someone trys to use it and I get this error.

Weird errors with disk controller, video drivers

Last night I tried to install the new Detonator 3 Drivers, and when I rebooted, I was using my VGA driver. How nice. When I manually tried to install them, it told me it could not find a file. I'm totally at a loss.

CD-Ripping with Pioneer DVD-115

i read an article long ago posted on NTCompatible about the DVD-115 or whatever you call it. I don't know if any of you have found this but ill say it anyway. The review on it says that you can't rip audio cds with it.
