Conversion to NTFS Problems

I have a 10gig drive with 2 partitions, both are FAT32, b/c I was going to dual boot and wanted to be able read evrything. I've never installed Win9x though, and don't plan on it, so the last time I reinstalled Win2K, I formatted C: in NTFS.

Problem with DMA Mode...

I've selected the option 'Dma mode if available' but when i reboot the change does not occur. I know for a fact my hardware is supported in this feature, is there any way for me to force dma enabled?.

New VIA/Win2k M$ patch

Well the new patch seems to have fixed the crashing with the Optimal (AGP 4x) setting on my ASUS A7V motherboard. I've been running the machine for many hours now and no more crashes in games and stuff.

Hi Everyone, I recently got a Asus Geforce 2 MX. System Configuration: PIII 450 Via Pro Plus (AGP 2X) Windows 2000 Professional Nvidia 6. 31 official drivers. 96MB SDRAM Now, I dont get a good performance in games like UT, SOF.

Ok I'm going to try to explain this as good as I can and then anyone can give me opinions on what the problem could be. I just upgraded to an athlon thunderbird 800 with an Asus A7V motherboard and 128 megs of ram PC 133.

I was gonna upgrade my cpu pretty soon here and ive been running a P3 - 500 with 128 megs of PC100 ram. I ahve a tnt2u and a sblive. Now here my question. WOuld it be best to but another stick of ram and upgrade the processor (its a asus p2b-f) to 800mhz? Or get all new stuff for 133 fsb? and if so amd or intel.

CAS2, CAS3, or does it matter?

I'm planning on adding yet more ram to my system, and I'm caught on this CAS2 and CAS3 ram stuff. I know it has to do with access latency timing or something like that. I have 2 sticks (128 and 32, no idea on timings).

I have an ABit BP6 Dual S370 Mobo left over from when i had dual Celeron 400's@550, my question is, can i use Celeron 633's and above with this Mobo? Is there a BIOS Update for it, if it will work, how far can i over clock Celeron 633's?

I'm searching de Windows 2000 driver for SCSI card DPT PM2044UW. This driver is linked at ftp. dpt. com/pub/techsup/SCIV/software/drivers/windows/2k/win2kdpt. zip but not appears in ftp server. Any person have this file?? Please, I have very pleasured to obtain this file.

SB live drivers + Win2K = Power management problems

After installing Liveware 3. 0 drivers (only not full apps) i have many power management problems that i never had before. Inability to wake from the standby mode is one of them. Did you ever encounter such problems on your setups and if so do you have some solution.

Hey my friend installed win2k with ntfs And he wants FAT32 back. How can we remove ntfs i have go into fdisk but that cant do it i tryed to format the ntfs partition but it says not supported any ideas?.

WHISTLER WONT INSTALL

When i try to install whistler 2276 i get all kinds of missing files. I tell it to skip these but it ****s up afterwards. It seems to be RMI files and some other ones. . Am i doing something wrong or did i get a bad copy?? Thanks, Sparkhard.

PCI-X. Do we really need this?

Looks like we'll have to change our PCI cards for a new bus. No matter the fact PCI-X cards will still work under old PCI buses. The truth about this is that we will have to face another PCI to AGP like migration, or ISA to VESA.
