Anyone know of a good scsi DVD rom drive?

Looking for a scsi DVD rom drive - it needs to be region free - so I need to know of a good quality model that can have its firmware updated to remove region protection. it doesn't need to be any faster then 12 X.

what is is with this stuff?? If I boot with 16 bit color I can see the drop shadows but there is no alpha blending on the icons. If I then change to 32 bit I get back the alphablending on the icons. Now, if I restart again and it boots with 32 bit colors the icons are alphablended but the drop shadows are gone! And ...

It's a Beta OS, don't expect everything to work! I've seen a lot of people saying this lately, and as far as I'm concerned, it's just giving up. When people ask a question, they're not asking for the official, os-supported way for something to work.

ok, does anybody know if there are availible updates for SystemSoft mobo's? my cousin's laptop is a UMAX 312T, and what a POS! it appears to have an Intel chipset, but its got an AMD K6 266 in it! i was like WTF? but here's the kicker.

i recently installed win2k. I have an Ensoniq Soundscape Vivo. I cant get the driver workingb. . . . . . . . it said on the ntcompatible hardware list that it was hard to get working. Also there is something called multimedia video controller in my device magager.

Icons are white while dragging them with detonators 6.xx

Here's my problem. When I drag icons in win2k they are white transparent, so when i drag them over the white background of a window they are totally invisible. This only seems to occur in 32bits colour mode.

I am thinking of building a new system to replace my old Slot1 based P3 500. I am not sure if I should go with the KT133A chipset or if I should go with i815 chipset. I was really looking into getting a new 1Ghz T-Bird but wanted to have some feedback on what board to get and stability is key here.

ASUS A7V Motherboard & Win2K

I have a dual boot Win ME/Win2K 900 AMD Athlon on an ASUS A7V Motherboard. It has the Promise Ultra DMA66/100 option. If I switch the ribbon cables to the DMA 100 connectors, Win ME works OK but Win2K won't boot up.

Hi have win2k, and just put on 1. 2 beta of MS Game Voice. I am using newest version of Roger Wilco. When I play Aces High online, my buddies that I am chatting with say that I break up from time to time, and that it is hard to hear me.
