Radeon 32 MB DDR + Gigabyte GA-5AX

Well this isnt really my problem, but a friends. He got the Radeon to use in his Gigabyte GA-5AX and there are some major problems. DVD will play,but it'll lock up after like 10 seconds. Same deal with 3dmark.

When you guys build your own computers do you buy all the parts at one time? Or piece them together one by one? As you can tell by my signature I still have a couple more parts left to buy. Case, video card, etc.

OK So I installed Whistler/Windows XP (whatever), yesterday. First of all it didn't support my USB modem (ComeOne light 56k) That's pretty bad considering it's USB and was released last year. Second, I have an external SCSI HD and windows usually detects it as movable device and I always have to change it.

I have a Pioneer 16x DVD drive and I was wondering if any of you that have this drive or the Hollywood Plus decoder card would it improve the quality enough to warrant buying the $50 or so card? Thanks for your input.

i have a pc with two similar IBM UW SCSI drives. . . . OS is win2k pro. . . on drive has NTFS and the other FAT32. . . . the one with NTFS drive is extremly slow. . about 500kb/s the other with FAT32 doeas about 5MB/s.

I know this subject is the same basic answer as the Hollywood Plus DVD decoder, but I am running build 2419 and am curious if anyone else has gotten this card to work under Whistler/XP? This card is very problematic at best.

Major 2428 problems

I can't get Liveware to install under build 2428. When i run the installer it gets as far as the initializing wise install wizard and then just stops. . . no errors or anything. The weird thing is that liveware installed flawlessly under build 2419.

Hello everyone, I'm trying to get the above card to work with Windows Whistler beta 2 build 2419, but had no luck so far. The 2. 0 drivers from either Videologic or Sigma Designs for Win2000 won't work.

I am soon going to get one of those ATX cases like the Alienware one. It comes wiht a 250W Athlon approved. I want to upgrade to a Enermax 431 Watt PS. A couple questions, does anyone that has this case use this PS? And how hard would it be to swap PS? Thanks a lot.

Questions about MSDN and TECH-NET?

Does anyone know for sure if you can get the latest Windows XP betas by signing up with one of these services. I saw beta 1 on subsciber downloads on MSDN a couple of months ago, but now it's gone. How about Tech-Net? I can't seem to find anything whistler related on the Tech-Net site.
