Like when windows xp comes out or is out for a month or longer will that mean more support for win2k like in games , hardware , apps , etc ? curious cause i dont know if i should go to windows xp or not since it has that emulation mode for win95 , and windows nt 4.

Hiya people i really am truely ****** off to the max atm, ive installed the 4. 25(a) via motherboard drivers and use 1004 flash, and it still locks up in windows 2000! if i try loading any 3d games etc it just locks the system up and all i can do is reboot, god VIA are crap, they are giving AMD a rubbish reputation ...

my maxtor hd has gone down the pan. I am thinking of RMA'ing it back to diamond one thing is that it had w*r*z and mp3s on it, are diamind likely to look for such things, if they do find them what are they likely to do.

I'm having a problem installing Win2K on a ATA33 hdd with the MSI K7T Pro 2-A m/b. During installation I get a BSOD 0x0. . 7B Inaccessible_Boot_Device stop error. After going through MS's KnowledgeBase, I realize that the problem may lie in the fact that all the IDE ports are ATA100 capable.

hi everyone im runnin a gygabyte ga-6vxe7+ motherboard and i installed motherboard monitor to monitor cpu temps i try afew things but couldnt find out what sensor to use any sensor i tried read 255 degrees has anyone here got this to work if so what sensor do u pick thanks

Hello group: In some very early preparations for the upcoming Windows XP, I want to review which drivers on my current 2K system are WDM. Is there a way to do this? I looked on the driver properties in Device Manager but that didn't seem to help.

Why is RAM so cheap?

Okay, I just bought 128mb of RAM for $88AUS. That's about $45US. What's the deal? Has someone flooded the market? Whilst I'm not complaining, I'm a little confused. Does Anyone know how to update Fifa 2001, since the EA Autoupdate Doesn't work. Windows 2428 I've Run in compatibility mode but with any luck at all, even in Win9x compatiblity mode the program runned but didn't complete.

Dissapearing mouse

Whenever I move my mouse over text, such as on a web page or in word, (any time it should be changing to that I cursor shape) it dissapears. I've tried messing with the mouse settings, to see if the icon file is just corrupted, but that doesn't seem to do any good.

Ok, I just installed build 2446 and my windows media player 8 is all screwed up. Whenever I try to play any sort of media with it I get a BSOD. My question is, is there anyway to reinstall WMP8 without have to reinstall Whistler?.

I noticed that build 2428 uses IIS6 for the server portion of the OS. The thing is that its basically crippled and unusable at this point, is this the case for you guys using newer builds? Just wondering because I was going to install the OS on my webserver but can't untill IIS is fully active.

Phone ring causes W2K to freeze

Every time the phone rings W2K freezes. This is definitely a W2K thing cause the same box w/same hardware doesn't do this in W98SE. I use removable drive trays to switch OSes. Anyone have a clue as to whats going on???.

I run winXP 2428 for a while and then all the sudden winamp gives this error about not being able to read the file format of my mp3s which are perfectly fine. Also there is no sound in the rest of the system after this happens until i restart.

Zoom 2920 PCI Voice Modem not working right

I just bought this Zoom 2920 Modem. 1) The directions for installing the modem under Windows NT are incorrect. The Setup. exe file the directions say to execute does nothing to get the modem installed under Windows NT.
