Ok this is my situation, any help would be greatly appreciated. In our house we have 4 computers hooked up with a Netgear hub. The cards used are of 4 different manufacturers(Intel, 3Com, Netgear, and Linksys).

Okay guys. Here is a cool topic and an interesting issue. We will shortly have 2 Adsl lines coming into the same office. Is there a concentrator or router that can aggregate 2 DSL lines into one Pipeline? Unless we can multilink the DSL lines we will wind up with 2 private IP groups.
Get BDC to find PDC across internet

Please gimme a hand here. The PDC is in one city and the BDC just moved to another city. Each are connected to the internet via dialup (different subnets). It will be DSL soon, whenever Ameritech feels like getting around to it.
Pinging with computer names is very slow.why?

The NT4 resource kit has a utility that detects if a particular service has failed, and then e-mails you. I would like to monitor the actual exchange e-mail services in a similar way. Does anyone know of a util that will send an alert to specific users (admins) when a service fails? Thank you, RY.

OK, so here's the problem: We have our main file server called JON01S. It was our first ever server that started out life as a 486 and was then upgraded to a Pentium Pro. I now have a lovely new server which is a dual processor PIII 800 but want the name to be BUKNT001 to fit in with our naming convention.

I apologize for the vague subject line. Now, for the info. I have a Win2k Pro box that I use 99. 5% of the time. I do a lot of gaming on it and various other network related activities. I tend to go to many LAN parties over the course of a year and my computer usually ends up on various networks.
