Do any of you know how to set a default in Active Directory so that when I add a user with the Users & Computers console, it displays the user in the AD as Last Name, First Name? For example, if I create a user with last name Doe, and first name John.

I have a bunch of 2k kiosks that are out in the public that have touch screens, but l8ly people have been bypassing the main program and del stuff and uninstalling stuff. is there a way to make it so people cant deo this i alreday have the lowest privlages on.

pcAnywhere with Win2k HELP!

I need some help. I have 4 windows 2000 pc's on a network. I use pcAnywhere 9. 2 to talk to the other pc's when I need to do stuff on them. Now one of the win2k pro pc's will not let me connect to it thru tcp/ip in pcanywhere.

Well, this router is FAST, easy to configure, and I got it pretty cheap. But here's the problem: Running Win2k Pro on one machine, and I usually run Vermillion FTP on this machine as a ftp server. But now, Vermillion can't pull the IP of the cable modem, only the IP of the NIC, which is 192.

IP Filtering probs when seting up a RRAS VPN

I am setting up a PPTP VPN using RRAS on NT server 4, when I apply the packet filters as described by the MS knowledge Base article Q169890 I can now longer connect to any remote routers using PPTP, I do get a SYN_received in the TCP connections window but it does not progress on to established and just sits there.

I am looking for a personal firewall for my computer. I have cable modem and am using ICS for my other computer. I have tried Zone Alarm, but it didn't allow me to configure the ports. I use a program called RemotelyAnywhere to do remote control on my machine.

Network Cable Unplugged

I have a Phoneline network setup in my house to share my cable modem. But everytime my wife turns off her computer there is no link for the phone line adapter. I then get the message in my taskbar, Network Cable Unplugged and the computer with the red X in it.
