Win2K and DVD player

Hi All, Now that I got Creative's Win2K Live drivers I wanted to get my DVD working in Win2K. Does anyone know if the WinDVD works well with Win2K? If not, what is the best Win2K DVD player right now? Thanks SlaveDog freeman@primenet.

Please, can someone tell me how to delete these annoying directories located in the Program Files directory. BTW: I was able to delete them in DOS mode with a startup disk, but now they are back with no files in side them and Outlook 2K says Outlook requires MS Outlook Express 4.

How do I share folders on a LAN?

Ok, I've tried to get this to work but apparently it's much harder than in win98. I wanna share a folder on my local network. Anyone should be able access it using a password. Anyone know how to do it? In win98 all you had to do was to mark the folder, click sharing and enter a password.

Problems with dial-in connection

I have win2k pro and my friend has win98. We tried to establish modem connection via dial-in feature in win2k, but ( Modems get connected, some data exchange occurs (probably, login and password transmitting), but after a few seconds hangup occurs.

CD-R Problems - Am I the only one?

I'm experiencing problems with my CD-R softwares, I upgraded to adaptec easy cd creator 4. 02, seems to work but when I leave a blank CD in my recorder, the application is terminated. . anyone with the same problem ?.

probably i'm missing something but here is the situation: After installing nvidia 3. 81 the links in a page with ie5 are not underlined. e. g. the search links in Yahoo. com are not underlined like before!.

Can I please get the WDM SBLIVE Basic drivers?

I have finally figured out that, LIVEWARE sucks and is not worth figuring out how to install, I have tried all the versions, and none work. The most unfortunate of my wasted time, I accidentally deleted the Basic WDM drivers that come with win2k.

Asus Live 4.0 b3 -> No hibernate ?!?!

Hi all, 2 days ago I tried installing the new Asus Live 4. 0b3, eager to find out if I could finally give my win98 the kick 🙂 Well, the software (and capture driver) works perfect, but after the installation all signs og hibernation has disappeared.

Hello Im not (as you might understand) a professional user, I might use the term professional-amateur. What Im wondering is what services you acctually need running, what they do etc. . If you bring up the Task Manager, what does need to be there, and so on.

Cakewalk Users - Need Your Input

Have a weird problem when using midi keyboard in Cakewalk 8 and 9. The prog will let me play in realtime for a minute or so, and after that, the sound is delayed for 15 or more seconds before hearing it through the soundcard.
