Partition Magic (again)

I have the partition magic 5. 01 upgrade and as far as I can tell under win2k, all you can do is make rescue disks to boot from. I thought the new fancy version ran in naive mode as it does under NT4.

Win2k Defrag, and big files like zips, and Q3 pak

I just ran a defrag on my 12gb partition and it said at the end that it didn't process practically all of my large zip files, and especially my Quake 3 pak file. At 450 Megs it has, get this over 1600 fragmentations, and didn't unfragment it.

nt setup/partition

i have a amd-k6/3-d 300mmx,160 ram. i am installing nt 4. 0 on a 4 gig h-drive. i formatted the h-drive with fat32 from a win98 bootup disk. i booted up and put in the 3 disks. on the last disk the screen says, setup cannot find your nt partition.

Outlook with Dual boot.

What I would like to do is have Outlook look the same in Windows98 and 2000. Example: if I check my mail in Windows 2000 then when I go to Win98 I want the message to appear there also. I am using Outlook that came with Office 2000.

Hi. How do I update DirectCD, when it can't be installed under Win2000 in the first place?? I just get this piece of infomation: This version of DCD does not support Win2000 But the update says that a version of DCD is required to update????.

outlook express crashes.

I just upgraded to dsl, so i put in my new email address into outlook express, (i guess the one that came with ie 5. 5) and now, everytime i open up outlook it crashes. is there a simple way to reinstall it so it works.

Can't Play MPEG files

After installing PowerDVD or XingDVD, I get a blue screen error when trying to open ANY form of MPEG files. . . . . ie dat, mpg, vob, etc. So essentially I can't play DVDs, or VCDs. My system: Epox 7kxa athlon 650 Diamond Stealth III S540 Live!.

I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problem I'm having. I have the ATI AiW 128 with 32MB of RAM. I installed both the beta drivers and the beta MMC. Everything except the TV Viewer functions perfectly.

Comments System Commander 2000?

Has anybody tried this program? I'n thinking about it for 2 reasons. 1. I want to boot between win 2k and nt 4. 0 (just to keep as a backup), and linux, maybe BeOS if everything else goes good. 2. I've read on their website that it lets you make/resize partitions.

I just spent $249 for a new Creative CDRW 8432 because I just upgraded my office server to Win2K Server and had an old SCSI burner. Guess what? NO damn Win2K compatible software. And its brand-new! Anyone know a workaround to this? Creative is no help! Thanks.

Win2k Blue Screen errors

Hi, I keep getting Blue screen errors. Mainly Kmode errors on NTOSKRNL, a few errors cause by VetNT (part of Inoculan) But mainly NTOSKRNL errors. Anyideas? Seem fairly random, It needs a power on and off and not a reset button since the Graphics card seems to lock up and the mouse needs uunplugging and replugging ...

How to prevent Win2k from creating error logs?

I´ve got a big problem with Windows 2000´s error log creation in case a program crashes. Since I never look into that logfile, I´d like to disable creating it, but chainging the options under System won´t prevent this.
