Internet Connection Shareing in RC3 PRO

I cannot get Win2k PRO To share my dialup internet connection with my lan for some reason. I tell it to share a dialup connect it makes the changes to my network connect, than on my client win98 PC i setup the NIC's TCP/IP Binding to use DHCP to obtain IP and thats all i specify the rest is defaults and i don't get ...

i am running win2k (2128) with iis5. 0, i have internet sharing running so my win98 machine can surf. i want to tun a dedicated game server (Unreal Tournament) and have other net users connect. (i have a cable modem) so: iis is up and running and i can connect from the web, i can surf.

I just got an SB Live Value! (New one with the Digital Outs) and now Win 98 blue screens horribly with random vxd's and. exe's. Essentially, I can't trace it to any one component. So it looks like the next step is reloading the OS.

Hi guys. I have this slight problem. I installed Windows 2000 rc1,and it was working ok. But then I deleted and reinstalled. And the second time, it didn't recognize my sound card and Voodoo 2 cards, so I uninstalled it again (how do you unistall properly.

I'm posting this message to warn anybody who is trying to install NERO Burning Rom 4. 0. 5. 6 I tried it, and Windows 2000 RC2 was messed up completly, or should I say, I had to re-format my harddrive because of an error in a file installed by NERO called cdfs**.

Well, i guess somebody had to report another DVD problem and I'm sorry it had to be me. . I had a test DVD-Rom and used with WinDVD - worked fine. . I the bought The Matrix and tried it. . . Didn't work AT ALL.

Anyone here had any luck with the IIS 5 ftp server in win2k. I can get people to log in, but the it won't list the contents of the directory for them. Any help would be mucho appreciated!.

Im trying to rip CD Audio using Audio Catalyst or Audio Grabber in Win2k with no success. I assume i need to download an ASPI layer. The adaptec ASPI32. exe doesnt work as i dont have any adaptec products on my PC.

Upgrade from RC2 to RC3

I'm wondering what should be the best approach to upgrade my current RC2 to RC3? Can I just overwrite the files or do I need to reformat the partition and reinstall all my stuffs again? I was hoping a simple overwriting of files will work as I have too many apps in my system right now.

4 Speakers in Win2k

Hi! I was wondering if it was possible to get all four speakers to work in Win2k. I've got a SBLive! and the SoundWorks (or something) 4-Point speaker system. After I installed Windows 2000 RC 2 only two of my speakers worked (the 2 in front), and LiveWare! didn't work anymore.

How come when networking with win98 you can see drives from other computers on your LAN fairly quickly but in Win2k they seem to hang for about 1 min then pop up. . how can I speed this up. . thanks.

i´m using W2k and i´m badly looking for a firewall. Read about a built in Fw, but can´t see something like this. I can block ports in the Network (card) settings. I was very happy with Conseal, but unfortunatly it doesn´t run under W2k.

Icq99b stoped working on Win2000 RC2

Ok. It was working fine before i installed the icqgroup for networks. So now. . it wont detect or launch the icq for internet. I had try uninstalling and removing all the entries in the registry to do a clean install of the icq99b for internet, no GO there.

LiveWare3 and EasyCD 3.5c patch

Has anyone else had the problem where LiveWare3 runs perfectly in RC3 until you install the patch that allows you to install Adaptec EasyCD 3. 5c. After I installed this patch LiveWare won't start up, the Launcher, the AudioHQ, nothing.

When I was under Win98, I was using shared folder. Those folder were on Unix computer and shared with SMB. Win98 is crypting pwd so I had to had a DWORD in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\VNETSUP named EnablePlainTextPassword with 1 as data to uncrypt them before sending them.

where do i get setup.exe for win2k RC3?

i just downloaded what was suposed to be win2k rc3 (build 2183). i extracted it and all i got was a directory called i386. where is setup. exe??.
