Weird Office/Word 2000... just strange

When I installed Win2k Pro on my computer, I reformatted my entire hard drive first. Since I couldn't find my Office '97 CD, I installed a stand-alone copy of MS Word 2000. Word ran great until recently, when it began to exhibit extremely odd behavior.

OK. . . i got me a dual boot. Win2k for almost everything and 98 for some programs i need for school (Circuitmaker 2000 doesnt print very well in 2k, winspool errors) anyways, I have norton utils 2000 and i was jsut about to use speed disk, but then i got to thinking.

Best CD-Ripper for 2k??

Can someone point me to the BEST/FASTEST Cd Ripper for 2k. . I want GOOD speed. (i have a Plextor 12. 10. 32) which is one of the best in ripping. . i want to take advantage of it. . and it has to have CDDB2 access.

I'm running Terminal Services on a box on one side of a router (my private LAN). Of course this can be easily accessed with no probs from any computer on the LAN, but it cannot be accessed outside of the LAN (as it's currently configured).

Just a question guys, not trying to start a 3 mile long thread. But I have been using NT 4. O for a while now and I love the thing, I need it for my Cad programs among other things. The only down fall is there just isen't a lot of games out there that will play on it.

folder-list in explorer doesen't work anymore...

I just upgraded to Internet Explorer 5. 5 Sp1, everything works just fine but when i start an explorer window with the folder-list enabled it just crashes. . . this is VERY disturbing. . . If anyone know what's wrong I'd be very pleased since this driving me mad.

k, this is the problem. . i'm running win2k with nero 5. 0. 3. 9 English version of both. . . i'm doing some backing up at work with Chinese files/file name. . . but for some reason, it's really picky and will only burn them if i rename it to english file names.

About month ago i had a issue with picture problems on my wintv, the streak fenomena, and someone told me to change from VFM drivers to WDM. I did that and the picture problem was fixed, but now i have a new one.

Real curious one this. . . I was playing with a theme program. . . I decided after about five seconds it was crap and uninstalled it. Unfortunately, some of my system icons have now vanished, and been replaced by the default windows icon for an unrecognised format.

Is there any way to make a one-stop shutdown shortcut for Windows 2000? In 98 you could use rundll. exe and create a shortcut that would shutdown windows when you clicked on it. . . no need to go through the selection of start, shutdown etc.
