Why cant IE 5.0 display some pages?

My dad wants to know why IE 5 wont display some pages. He's got Zone Alarm and Norton Internet Security Family Edition installed. We use DSL, BTW. His system: PIII 800 MHz Abit BE6 latest bios GF2MX WD 18.

Installing Take Two with the new updates from Roxio

Ok here is my initial plan: Do a fresh install of Win2k Install Easy CD 5 (custom) and choose to NOT install Take Two software. After sucessful install I will apply the update to 5. 01 Then I will put the install disc back in and install Take Two.

Problems with Win2000's CD player

Lo folks, I've got a problem with win2000's music CD player. It was downloading the tracknames (playlist things) up untill a few days ago when it suddenly stopped. Now no matter what I do It just keeps saying album not found.

Hi guys Don't hate me because of my opinion on firewalls. Anyway, I need help with a concern I have, a process msiexec. exe is always running. According to the M$ knowledge base this file is a component of the Windows installer.

"On-Demand" Server?

Hello! I was wondering if I could do a nice thing: install a modem on a server here in my office, call by phone wherever I am that server, hang up, and have the machine call me back, establishing in this way a reliable and quite useful (I'd be plugged in my working net) connection.

Watching TV using Voodoo3 3500 TV and Win2k

I have no problems using the voodoo software to watch tv using windows ME. But when I install the drivers and such for Win2k it states that I have to install WebTV for windows in order for it work correctly.

Mmc is not runnable?!

Hi I keep getting this error when I try to run anything using the MMC. exe: Temporary directory is not foudn or there is not enought disk space. Failed to create empty doc I know I have plenty of RAM and disk space so I don't know about this temp dir.

Okay, would someone please tell me how to stop ZoneAlarm from trying to go to Zonelabs website on everyother boot up. Ive disabled autoupdate, and the web browsing isnt even set to go on on startup. Is there some way to stop this from happening.

With the March Updates, Microsoft has added Compatibility modes for win2k as they are in whistler. There you go! Every other game and application would be working in Win2k. Miku.

INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

I'm having trouble installing NT 4. 0 Server. When setup finished copying all files, and when the comp restarted, I get a INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE error. I can't find a way around it, I installed Win98 thinking it has something to do with the bootloader, but there is no boot.

Does Windows 2000 come with a default aspi driver?

While trying to set up Media Jukebox 6 to use with my CDRW it says it is unable to find any aspi drivers and can not detect my burner. Anyone know what this could be about? My Slug. <> Abit BE6 II rev 1.

What's the deal? Why so many operating systems? Which one will be the best for me? What's Micro$oft trying to do here? I know Win2k is based on NT, are all these others going to be also? Or are they still going to be based on DOS? I'm so confused.

Office XP polling floppy on opening apps.

Running Office XP on W2k. Every timeI open Word, Excel, Access or FrontPage, the floppy drive is accessed, slowing down loading. A floppy in the drive keeps it happy. No files have been saved to floppy (Word trick) and Fast Find (Indexing Service) is disabled.

I am trying to install the above, version 3. 7 onto my Win2K Pro partition (D:, FAT32). When I try I get the error that it is unable to create a temporary directory and that I must have at least 814kb of free space (or something similar).

northpoint going out of business

Hey everyone, Where I work we use adnc. com for DSL. I just got a call from them and was told that Northpoint communications is shutting down by the middle of next week. I don't think anyone that is using a DSL provider that goes thru northpoint is going to get the message.
