OCWorkbench has posted a Soltek SL65JVB-X review. The Soltek SL65JVB-X based on the VIA 694X chipset is probably what you would need as a cheap alternative that has 1Mhz stepping for you to overclock your CPU and voltage tweaking from -0.1v to +0.4v.

The speech diagnostic by VD-TECH used on this board is really an innovative move by Soltek. Although I find it a bit weird to have a board talking to you, I find it fun. Although it is fun, I find that it is not as good as D-LEDs as D-LEDs can show 16 error possibilities whereas the Voice Diagnostic can only indicate 5 common errors in 4 spoken languages.

PCinsight has posted up a review of the Soyo 6VCA Motherboard which is based upon VIA´s evergreen Apollo Pro 133A motherboard. The 6VCA does present to the user a good number of tweaks as well as a reasonable display of performance.

Soyo has been one of the most well-known motherboard manufacturers around the world for quite sometime now. In the last few years Soyo´s boards have build up a good reputation for their overclocking capabilities. With the introduction of the Via Apollo Pro 133A chipset, pretty much every motherboard manufacturer out there began to release their own motherboards based on this chipset. In this review we will be taking a look at the Soyo 6VCA which is based on the Via Apollo Pro 133A. This board offers AGP 4X, official support of 133MHz bus speed, option for 4 USB ports, ATA-66 support and integrated AC97 audio. On top of this, Soyo has included quite a number of tweaks/features like suspend to RAM, manual voltage adjustment and a decent software bundle.

The PowerStrip has been updated to version 2.74 to work around a couple of unusual issues with VIA chipsets. The diagnostic module has also been beefed up a bit to report AGP 8x transfer rates and the status of the GART manager. Note that, beginning with the Radeon, full support for new chips will only appear in PowerStrip 3.0, currently under development and available to registered users on request.
