We recently sent out a call to a handful of cooling manufacturers; folks that most in the enthusiast community should be quite familiar with. What we wound up with is a sampling of the best low noise socket 1156 CPU coolers from Zalman, Noctua, Thermalright, Cooler Master, Zaward, and Thermaltake to compare in this shootout.Low Noise Socket 1156 Heatpipe Cooler Shootout

TechSpot posted a review on the OCZ Vertex 2 100GB SSD
Three months ago we tested the first SandForce-based solid-state drive when OCZ treated us with a sample of the Vertex 2 Pro. As a true newcomer to the SSD market, the new controller took us by surprise with encouraging results, but the fact remained that this was an enterprise class product and few consumers were ever going to lay their hands on one of these drives. At the time we were also told that a successor to the original consumer-oriented Vertex would be arriving just a few months down the road.OCZ Vertex 2 100GB SSD Review
Then last March we got a taste of what the Vertex 2 would be all about with the OCZ Vertex Limited Edition. Yet, we were still left waiting for the true successor to the highly popular Vertex, and here it is, in our lab ready for testing and expected to be hitting shelves pretty soon.
The OCZ Vertex 2 is based on the more affordable SandForce SF-1200 controller and it's actually expected to outperform the Vertex LE. This is not a mainstream part, though. OCZ will be targeting performance oriented users with the Vertex 2 while dropping down the price of the original Vertex to service the mainstream segment.

There are plenty of other devices running the Android platform, and an increasing number which include Microsoft Exchange support. However the Desire's large screen makes it potentially very useful for businesspeople who need access to complex data such as Web sites and PDF/Word/Excel/PowerPoint documents on the move. Its touch-sensitive keyboard benefits from the large screen too, and may be beneficial for those who need to do a lot of mobile e-mail. Our one concern is battery life, but all modern smartphones suffer in this respect and the HTC Desire is no worse than most better than most in fact!HTC Desire Review

Futurelooks posted their review on the AMD Phenom II X6 "Thuban" 1090T 6-core Black Edition Processor
This week AMD unleashed a new processor to the world. While not quite to the fanfare as an over-hyped Apple product launch, their latest creations, the Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2GHz Black Edition and Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz processors represent something that many AMD users have been looking forward to for a while now. Though not quite a match for the highly rated INTEL Core i7 980X 6-Core processors, AMD has created something extremely special for those of us with a regular salary but still an insatiable need for performance. How about a 6-Core processor starting at $199US?AMD Phenom II X6 Thuban 1090T 6-core Black Edition Processor Review
