XtReMoDs has checked out the Xoxide Galaxy Crystal LED Fan
Cooling never was much of a problem back in the old days of I have a CPU fan in my Pentium 75, and what do you mean over clocking? but now days when everyone around you is running their computers far past the recommended FSB, multiplier and even voltage you need a bit more than just a decent CPU fan. Lately its been not only about keeping things cool, but also making it look nice, and then LED, CCFL, and UV reactive fans were born. Keeping the area around the heat sink well ventilated is not just nice to have, its sometimes necessary to have. In this article I will be taking a look at the Galaxy Crystal LED fan which was kindly supplied to us by Xoxide.

Hardware-Test has posted a review on the Soltek SL-86SPE-L Springdale-PE mainboard.

Since 1996, the company Soltek has been producing mainboard to the end-users. Some years ago, “Soltek” was unknown to the Danish people, but in about 2-3 years, Soltek acceded to move up from the ground and to mark a good spot on the top lists when it came to the Danish people’s hardware shopping lists. The last few months, Soltek has been pushing, and are finally in the Swedish sales market – I hope that the same goes for Denmark soon. The reason for this behavior is their low prices, and the fact that you get a decent but good quality product for the value.
A thing I like about Solteks mainboard would be their series based on the ”Glacier Silver” PCB. This really gives the user a great machine whenever you use a UV kit or so. To have a silver mainboard, it is very nice indeed.

I loved the mainboard from the moment I unpacked it from the box. Just the silver look itself, now that’s amazing. And the board’s layout is one of the finest I’ve seen to this date. Still, I was very nervous about the AMI BIOS regarding overclockability and so on. However, it seems that no problems occurred in this category. This mainboard is very stabile in both standard operations as well as in overclocking mode.

ComputerSphere has checked out the 80mm Lighted Acrylic LED Fan Grill 7 Colors

There are many things I like about this grill and many I do not. I really enjoy the look of it. It illuminated great, with bright colors. It would go great with any type of color scheme and looks good as a sweet fan grill. I really liked the design of the fan grill but the main problem I see with the burst effect if you will, it restricts air flow. There is major blockage in the corners and in between each slit. Though it does protect your fingers and foreign objects good. The thickness of the fan grill will be a problem with some people. It is very think and could cause problems with different user setups. I also did not like the fact that it had to be held in using washers; I had a big problem screwing them in with the fact that they are so small. Overall this fan grill could use many improvements but I really did enjoy the colors it gave off and the lasting effect it will have on some users.
