If you’re a fan of hard cases, you’d do well to take a look at the Proporta aluminum cases. It is very nicely finished in a sandblast-textured anodized finish that has taken a lot of wear and not shown it a bit. It is hinged on the right and clicks shut solidly with a clip that snaps over a plastic “bump” fastened solidly to the case.
