ASRock Extreme4 Z390 Motherboard Review

The Z390 launch has brought with it a vast range of new motherboards. While it’s no secret that they’re a bit of a refresh of Z370, they mostly are tweaked, refined, and offer a few extra features. These are the best of the best, and the new flagship series from each brand. With that, comes support for the new 9th Gen CPUs from Intel, although they will also work with 8th Gen CPUs too.

The ASRock Extreme4 comes well equipped, featuring a Digital PWM and 12 Power Phase design. This bodes well for overclocking performance on our i9-9900K. It’ll support multi-GPU configurations, and super fast M.2 storage or Optane for a competitive system build. Those who want even more storage options, you’ll be happy to see 8 SATA3 ports, and plentiful USB Gen 1 and Gen 2 connections.

That’s backed up with the superb ALC1220 Audio Codec, Polychrome Sync RGB lighting, and a few other bells and whistles to please those building a well-rounded gaming PC.

ASUS ROG Ryou 240 AIO CPU Cooler Review

ASUS ROG (Republic of Gamers) is a branding that, in relative terms, is rather new. Despite that, the ROG name has quickly managed to associate itself with some of the best consumer products currently available on the market. In terms of PC components, it’s relatively safe to say that their ASUS ROG branding is best associated with motherboards and graphics cards. Well, at least for the moment. That is, however, all set to change!

With ASUS looking to branch into more areas of computer component designs, we have been able to review their latest ASUS ROG Ryou CPU cooler. This is an AIO liquid cooler designed with a 240 radiator. There are, however, more than a few factors that make this stand-out from the wide variety of these cooler types on offer!

While this may on the surface appear to be a relatively standard 240 RGB AIO liquid cooler, it does have a rather cool secret! Read on for more!

Building a custom Xbox Adaptive Controller peripheral, part three

In part two of this blog series, I introduced my idea of using paint rollers as the mechanism for allowing easy rotation of the foam massage rollers that trigger keyboard switches connected to the Xbox Adaptive Controller. If that perfectly logical sentence isnt crystal clear to you, you may want to start from the beginning before reading further. As things worked out, I didnt have near the free time over the last weekend that Id hoped for, and I only made a fraction of the progress Id intended. However, a couple helpful suggestions from the comments on last weeks post lead to the acquisition of some new hardware thats worth talking about, lets start there.TR gerbil llisandro read my mind and suggested Kailh Speed switches as an option for a switch that would actuate with a very small amount of travel. Thats something Ive discovered is especially important for the method by which theyll be triggered in my project. I ordered Bronze and Copper switches from Novel Keys , and they arrived in just two days.

Its £200 - thats a lot of money but how does it work on the PC ? In this review we take a look at the Raiju ultimate controller. A wireless PS4 controller that will also work with your PC.
