Creative Sound BlasterX G6 Review

The Sound BlasterX G6 follows in the footsteps of the Sound BlasterX G5 from 2016 and improves upon the foundation that the G5 provided. Some notable upgrades that have been made are an enhanced DAC and Amp. The previous version utilised a 24-bit / 192kHz - which is impressive in its own right, but the G6 betters that with a new 32-bit / 384kHz variant. The Amp also sees a boost and features an ultra-low out impedance of 1ohm which is great when compared to 2.2ohm over the G5. The G6 also adds support for Dolby Digital Decoding and also increases the DNR from 120dB to 130dB.

Crucial Ballistix Sport AT TUF 32GB Memory Review

Crucial a subsidiary of Micron is one of the most well known and largest companies in the storage and RAM markets, they are known for their great customer warranty support and solid products.

Today I will be looking at their newest entry in their Ballistix Sport line up with the AT TUF Gaming Alliance kit, while they have had their Tactical, and Elite models, the Ballistix Sport model aims at being the entry level enthusiast model, to fit the budget of any gamer. Though the kit we were sent is probably a bit out of the budget of most with it costing $403 its more than most gamers would likely budget on RAM.

Mini Metro Review

Mini Metro is nothing like public transport. Riding the underground can be generously described as uncomfortably loud, hot and stressful, but to mention cramped. Mini Metro, on the other hand, is exactly the opposite with its lovingly quiet audio, minimalist art, slow-paced feel and spacious design.

The London Underground map, with its simple lines dancing around a blank page, has always been impressive. To condense something so overlapping and sprawling into something so simple and easily understood is no easy feat, and it’s this basis that makes up the core mechanically and visual design of Mini Metro.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 Review

For almost half of my life, I’ve heard about the holy grail of football games: Pro Evolution Soccer 6. As someone that never actually played this game, I can only go by what I’ve been told about it, “Adriano pot shots, Master League was so good, it’s the greatest multiplayer game ever”, blah blah blah… this was one of the main reasons I decided to pick up FIFA 2010 as my first football game instead. As EA has continued to put out consistently decent football games, I’ve never felt the need to pick up PES despite always wanting to try it. I mean, who has money for two football games each year? Now that Konami has had several years to perfect their football game for the current generation consoles, it’s time to take a closer look to see how good the competition has become.

The biggest knock against PES for most casual players is that the series has been slowly losing team licenses. For Pro Evolution Soccer 2019, Konami announced that it no longer features the UEFA Champions League, a license they have held since 2009. Fortunately, Konami has included the ability to create your own badges and kits for your teams that may not be in the game. The PES community has always been ready to provide players with an option file that lets you turn a club like London FC back into Chelsea FC. For whatever reason, this feature is available on PC and PS4 but is not an option on Xbox One.

RevoNext RN-QT3 Quad-Driver In-Ear Headphones Review

We see a lot of brands here at eTeknix, but today is the first time we’ve had a RevoNext product on the test bench. I have heard of them before, they seem pretty popular in the audio world. For those wanting powerful and dynamic headphones with a taste of the audiophile world, they’re often recommended due to their affordable prices and solid performance. I certainly hope to find that out for myself of course. Today, we see their new RN-QT3 headphones, the latest upgrade from their previous QT2 design.

Ring iPhone-connected Spotlight Cam Solar Kit Review

There's been a growing push to bring smarthome accessories outdoors in the past year or two, which should be expected given how commonplace platforms like Apple HomeKit and Amazon Alexa are becoming. You can even get HomeKit-enabled water controllers.

Security cameras have been one of the trickier propositions, since they have to be not just waterproof but tamperproof, with access to power and the internet in places where those are normally absent.

The Spotlight Cam Solar manages to solve at least one of these problems. The product is essentially Ring's existing Spotlight Cam Battery, but bundled (at a discount) with a solar panel accessory. No need to buy a spare battery, or make sure the camera is mounted in place that's easy to access.

WordPress Gutenberg Review

Sadness is in the air. I haven't been this blue since The Police split in 1986. I've written an article and review of WordPress Gutenberg, the future administrative backend interface for the WordPress Content Management System (CMS), discussing the many problems associated with the new design, including efficiency versus old look, desktop versus touch, user reviews, future implications, and more.
