Antec P6 mATX Computer Case Review

The Antec P6 is a budget case with a nice tempered glass panel, but too many compromises have been made to keep up with the trends and keep the price low.

If you read my last review on the 1MORE Quad Driver, you would know I ended by saying we were able to track down the phone. To continue the story, we called the cleaning company to ask if they knew anything and they mentioned the lady in charge brought some extra people to the office. They suspected a boyfriend of the cleaner's niece. Immediately, people started guessing this guy was a bratty adolescent who did not know any better. The next day, we called the police and they sent a cop to take our notes and the tracked location. It was not long until he was able to contact this person and they agreed to meet up at a mall. However, he was clearly scared and he dropped it off at the lost and found, claiming he had "found it in the mall". The policeman came back to our office and he handed me the iPhone. When I asked the officer who this person was, he replied by saying it was some old forty year old guy, which caught everyone off guard. This time, our impressions were not in line with reality and affected our expected suspect. With the review unit of the Antec P6, it has been a while since we have seen anything from Antec. Besides our recent review of the DF500, we had not received an Antec case or product in a while. In fact, the last chassis we received from this company was the P182 back in 2007. Back then, it was a pretty good case with a sleek exterior. The Antec P6 is a compact mATX case selling at a budget price. Does this case keep up with Antec's past case and the current trends from other case manufacturers? Let us read on to find out!

ASRock X299E-ITX/ac Review

While Intel's socket 2066 is not as large as the Threadripper-socket it is still special that ASRock can make a mini-ITX motherboard for it. On this unique board of 17 by 17 centimeters you can use an 18-core processor. The ASRock X299E-ITX/ac offers X299 in ITX format: a good idea or the ultimate concession?

High-end platforms are usually a good option for those who have more money to spend. The difference with the regular processor series is mainly in the quantity: some more cores, some more memory channels, some more PCI-Express lanes and so on. ITX therefore does not seem to be the most suitable format for an X299 motherboard- the vast majority of the boards for this platform are ATX format or even bigger, but ASRock still succeeded in manufacturing an ITX board.

Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L RGB Review

When it comes to cooling your CPU, you have a number of viable options, from the stock cooler that may have shipped with your processor, to aftermarket air coolers, closed-loop liquid coolers, and full custom liquid cooling loops. Closed-loop liquid coolers, like the Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 Lite RGB we’re reviewing in this article, are more popular than ever due to their well-earned reputation for better-than-air cooler performance, and minimal-to-nonexistent short and long-term maintenance. Modern units tend to run quietly, feature a plethora of RGB LEDs and are getting more affordable all the time. Which brings us back to the ML240L RGB, a closed loop liquid cooler that offers a lot in the aesthetics and cooling performance department, without demanding you empty your wallet. To find out if the ML240L RGB is the right CPU cooler for you, read on.

Destiny 2: Warmind Review

Does Destiny 2: Warmind have what it takes to pull Destiny players back into the fight? Yes and no, if we’re being honest. Hardcore Destiny 2 players will find more milestones to grind while more casual fans will most likely flame out quickly after running through a pretty short campaign before they get to the good stuff.

This expansion (the second one, included for Season Pass owners alongside Curse of Osiris) introduces us to Ana Bray, a sassy Guardian with an unusual connection to the Warmind and a distant relative to Clovis Bray from deep Destiny lore. Bray sends out a distress call that brings you to Mars to a secret research facility that’ll bring you face-to-face to the mythical super A.I. we’ve been hearing about for years now, Rasputin.

EVGA 450 BT PSU Review

Is it possible for a PSU that costs $40 (and can sometimes be found for as little as $25) to offer decent performance and reliability? EVGA's 450 BT promises both, appealing to enthusiasts on a budget.

Cheap power supplies rarely earn recommendations because they're often ticking time bombs. But the allure of a low price tag tempts the value-oriented among us. Normally, EVGA's 450 BT sells for $45. But from time to time, you'll find it on sale for $25. While that sounds too good to be true for a capable 450W PSU, we're here to tell you that this model does deserve consideration for its satisfactory efficiency, good ripple suppression, tight load regulation, and ability to keep its rails within the ATX specification's tolerances.

How to Buy the Right CPU

Whether you’re building or upgrading a new PC, the CPU matters a lot. Increased clock speeds and core counts can make a huge difference in overall performance, providing a more responsive system, smoother game play and faster turnaround on intensive tasks such as video transcoding. Plus, the chip you choose will also dictate your motherboard purchase, as each CPU requires only works with a specific socket and set of chipsets.

HyperX Cloud Revolver Gaming Headset Review

Thanks to Kingston, we’ll be taking a quick look at the HyperX Cloud Revolver Gaming Headset. It features large 50mm directional drivers, over-ear ear cups, solid-steel frame, detachable noise-cancelling microphone and of course HyperX’s signature memory foam. The version I’ll be reviewing features the 3.5mm audio jack (not the Cloud Revolver S version which already reviewed and features the USB audio control box giving you 7.1 Dolby surround sound).

You’re probably asking why I want to review this version? Wouldn’t the USB version be better? Well, I’m a big music fan. I love listening to my music, and the best way to listen to music (in my opinion), is to use the trusted old, but very versatile 3.5mm audio jack. That way … I can listen to my music AND use it for recording on both my PC/laptop AND on my smartphone/camera!

MSI Infinite X Gaming Desktop Review

As someone who’s generally not a fan of most pre-built gaming computers, I do actually like most of what the Infinite X does. It come pre-assembled and tested with all the parts a gamer would need, but at the same time retains the upgradability we’ve come to expect.

The Infinite X is currently available in five configurations ranging from a GTX 1070 up to a GTX 1080 Ti. The top three models come with an Intel i7-8700K CPU and 16GB of RAM while the bottom two have the non "K" variant of the CPU. For storage options, the Infinite X can be configured with various combinations of M.2 SSDs, a 2.5” drive, and a 3.5” drive. For the motherboard, the Infinite X uses MSI's own Z370M Gaming Pro AC across the board.

NZXT Kraken X72 360 Cooler Review

The NZXT Kraken X72 provides 360mm AIO cooling, support for most modern chips,an attractive RBG light show, user-friendly software, and great cooling.

The Kraken X72 comes with mounting hardware to support all current Intel and mainstream AMD processor sockets, and its support for the Asetek bracket included with AMD's TR4-socket processors brings Kraken and Threadripper together. Call it "Kraken-ripper," "Thread-Kraken," or whatever ever you like. So long as you don't balk at the price, this cooler should suit your needs nicely.

QNAP TS-453Be-4G NAS Server Review

Although the most popular uses people have for NAS (network attached storage) servers are local and cloud backups, web hosting, file sharing and network video recording more and more use them as centralized media servers both for media file sharing (local and distant) and playback. This isn't a coincidence of course since largely due to the arrival of 4k movies (finally in large numbers) media libraries have skyrocketed in size and NAS servers with their multiple drive bays are ideal to store them in. Because of this most NAS manufacturers have launched several new models in late 2017 and early 2018 which are not only capable of 4k playback but are also 10GbE compatible for demanding users who are looking for extremely fast local network performance. One such model is the brand new TS-453Be 4-Bay NAS by our good friends over at QNAP which we've been testing for almost 20 days now.

QNAP Systems, Inc., headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, provides a comprehensive range of cutting-edge Network-attached Storage (NAS) and video surveillance solutions based on the principles of usability, high security, and flexible scalability. QNAP offers quality NAS products for home and business users, providing solutions for storage, backup/snapshot, virtualization, teamwork, multimedia, and more. QNAP envisions NAS as being more than "simple storage", and has created many NAS-based innovations to encourage users to host and develop Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and machine learning solutions on their QNAP NAS.
