2018 Apple iPad Pro (11-Inch) Review

Apple’s iPad lineup for 2018 offers arguably the largest design change since the original iPad launched, with the introduction of the latest iPad Pro models in both 12.9-inch and 11-inch models. The new design offers a much higher screen-to-body ratio than ever offered before, mimicking what they’ve done with the iPhone lineup. Apple has more or less reinvented the iPad Pro design, and offers plenty of new features inside and out.

HyperX Savage EXO Portable SSD Review

By now everyone should be familiar with Flash or Thumb drive. They are cheap, super easy to use and work in just about every device from desktop PCs to servers, mobiles phones and tablets. Before the advent of flash drives we had portable hard drives and the ever popular floppy disk. Things have come a long way since the days of the floppy disk and despite the size and storage capacity they suffer from one fatal flaw. They are darn slow!

Most of the time we don’t notice the speed issues unless you have a rather large file to move. In those instances you spend more time looking at the clock while waiting for the progress bar move. Personally I find that an external hard drive is often faster than a flash drive as you get all the benefits of rotational storage and the portability of a flash drive.

In this review I’ll be showing you the new HyperX Savage EXO portable SSD. This was a device we saw during CES 2018 and is clearly the right solution for the external storage problem.

Logitech G29 Wheel Review

Logitech has been around since 1981 and has produced well over a billion mice during that time. As most companies have found out through the years, if there is no differentiation in products then there is a greater risk of suffering dips due to changes in demand or missed product cycles. Through acquisitions and smart hiring, Logitech has continued to grow and have addressed markets well beyond the mice that they have been famous for.

The G29 is compatible with the Driving Force Shifter from Logitech. This leather wrapped shifter features 6 speeds and a reverse in a self clamping package.
The move to gaming controllers was started decades ago and Logitech has a pretty significant lineup under the Logitech G brand. These gaming oriented products have proven to be quite popular due to their features, construction, and overall price. Initially Logitech opted for joysticks, but have broadened their reach with other controller types. Eventually they produced their own racing wheels and have found a moderate amount of success there. The earlier G25 and G27 products became quite popular due to their overall featureset and relatively low price. The previous G27 was originally released in 2010 so it was prime time to design a new product that would address the PC and console markets.

Razer Naga Trinity MOBA/MMO Gaming Mouse Review

After setting up Naga Trinity with our own preferences, we went ahead with testing it in games, but also productivity work; thanks to its wide chassis and shape, it is fairly easy to reach the configurable buttons and in our case we did feel right at home while using a palm grip.

SilverStone RGB fan grills, Christmas decorations?

Late October I was at FortCon for their LAN event and I won a SilverStone FG121. I know the name doesn’t really explain what it is, but basically, it is a clear fan grill with RGB lighting built into it. The grills have SilverStone's snowflake design and this brought up the discussion with how it actually looks like an ornament. Well, one thing leads to another and not long after the event I reached out to SilverStone with a weird idea turning our new Christmas tree into an RGB tree with their grills. The idea is relatively simple, but there were a few things I had to figure out. So today I’m going to show what I did, maybe if you have one or two laying around or other RGB products you can take my idea to another level.
