Cooler Master MP860 Dual-Sided RGB Mousepad Review

We've seen RGB-enabled products grow to pretty much anything you can put in your system, to everything that you can put on your desk.  RGB mousepads seem to be popular as they add some extra bling to your setup.  What is interesting about the RGB mousepad we are taking a look at today is that it's best feature has nothing to do with RGB.  The Cooler Master MP860 gaming mousepad is a dual-sided mousepad.  So on one side you have low-friction fabric for fast, speedy mouse action and on the other, you have aluminum for high precision and control.  So depending on the game you are playing you could easily flip the mousepad over to use the surface that best suits your needs.  The RGB on the mousepad just seems like an extra feature, but one that is welcomed.  Let's see what this mousepad is all about!

Crucial P1 1TB Type 2280 SSD Review

The 1TB version of the P1 NVMe SSD definitely offers more performance versus the 500GB model, and can keep the write speeds up for even longer, thanks to more SLC buffer (12GB versus 5GB on the 500GB drive). The increased DDR3 buffer also seems to come into play but expect a visible speed drop when writing large files to the drive. If the drive is operated in mainstream, home computers you won’t observe this limitation, but in production workstations were data changes frequently, the TLC write speed limitation will become more evident.

It seems MSI is being quite cautious with its factory overclocks of late. A couple weeks ago we reviewed the 2070 SUPER Gaming X Trio and were quite disappointed with its relatively meagre 30MHz factory overclock, but MSI has not pushed the boat out further with this RTX 2080 SUPER Gaming X Trio, as the clock speed again has only been factory overclocked by 30MHz.

Pricing is also interesting, as the £752.99 MSRP is certainly a heck of a lot of money, and it works out at a 13% increase over the £669 MSRP. The 2070 SUPER Gaming X Trio came in at £569, or 20% more than the £475 MSRP – so, in relative terms, this 2080 SUPER model is less of an increase over the MSRP than its 2070 SUPER counterpart.

When it comes to the RTX 2080 SUPER, in the benchmarks I ran, the two additional SM units totaling an extra 128 more Cuda Cores didn't seem to make a whole lot of difference when compared to the overclocked Vanilla model. The advantage is, as stated before, it is now $100 cheaper for essentially an overclocked RTX 2080. Not a bad choice if you are looking to turn up the graphical settings and still achieve that high desired frame rate. Otherwise a AMD RX 5700 XT or a RTX 2070 SUPER might be a better choice depending on your needs.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Review

Its been a few weeks since RTX 2060 and 2070 SUPER was unveiled. They brought with them some much-needed performance bumps and more importantly price reductions that will make these cards a lot more likely to find their way into new gaming machines. It is no secret that the gaming community has held some disdain with the RTX brand and respective models since launch and the respective pricing, along with the limited RTX content available. Now as more content and DXR support are starting to come to fruition the idea of having DXR enabled hardware is becoming an very enticing proposition.

That leads us today to the newest and highest end of the SUPER series, at least from what has been announced thus far. The GeForce RTX 2080 that launched last September was unquestionably fast. But it wasn’t much quicker than the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. More problematic, the Founders Edition model sold for $800, meaning you paid an extra $100 for its slight performance advantage over Nvidia’s previous-gen flagship.

The $699 GeForce RTX 2080 Super tips the scales back in favor of gamers with high-refresh QHD monitors and 4K displays by serving up average frame rates that are 6% higher than GeForce RTX 2080 (and 17% better than GTX 1080 Ti) at a price point that is $100 less expensive than the old 2080 Founders Edition card. It also offers performance that is far ahead of AMD's new Navi-powered Radeon 5700XT, but that's not surprising given that Nvidia's card costs 75% more.

Three weeks ago Nvidia launched their RTX 2060 SUPER and RTX 2070 SUPER and I had the chance to check out both on those in their Founders Edition versions. Today we have the launch of the newest in the H series lineage from NZXT. The H series has been the key identifier and brand icon, which cemented NZXT as a brand. I should say that is my opinion, but I stick to it as previous to the H series, NZXT had various cases from the Phantom to the Manta, but nothing that defined NZXT as an identifiable chassis brand. The H Series has always been a blend of form and function. RTX 2080 SUPER Review with 40+ Games

The GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER is the tenth GPU based on NVIDIA’s Turing architecture, and the Founders Edition (FE) will launch for sale today at $699 which is priced $100 less than the original RTX 2080 FE. This ‘super’ card is an upgraded refresh with the full TU104 chip which is designed to bring more performance for regular and ray traced games.

The upgraded changes made from the original RTX 2080 to the RTX 2080 SUPER are (1) a GDDR6 memory speed upgrade to 15.6Gbps, (2) an additional speed increase to its core, (3) increased cache size, and with (4) two more SM’s enabled. NVIDIA claims that the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER is faster than their former Pascal flagship TITAN Xp, and compared to the original factory overclocked $799 RTX 2080 FE, the new $699 RTX 2080 SUPER is 5% faster – or approximately 10% faster than the reference $699 RTX 2080.

T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 3200 MHz 16GB Review

The DDR4 memory market is having a bit of a boom at the moment. The extremely high prices of the last few years are now behind us. That means that you can finally start to afford a decent set of memory again without having to remortgage your home.

What does excite me, however, is that the latest TeamGroup memory kit DOESN’T have any RGB lighting. I mean, I’m all for those lovely little lights, but it seems that they’ve been taking priority over any other aspect of the memory kit in recent months. This one though, it’s nice and simple, just some clean, lean and fast memory for your new PC build or upgrades.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super Review

The last two months have been a period of tit-for-tat in the PC video card industry. Both AMD and NVIDIA have been going back and forth, making announcements and launching products as part of a broader restructuring of the mid-range and high-end video card markets in response to the launch of AMD’s Radeon RX 5700 series of video cards. Performance is going up while last-minute maneuvering has brought prices slightly down, all the while the two major players in the GPU space look to solidify their product lineups and secure their competitive edge against their competition.

For all practical purposes, NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 20 Super series has been the company’s response to AMD’s new video cards. A combination of a mid-generation kicker and a product stack realignment to go head-to-head with AMD, the Super cards have given NVIDIA’s product lineup a modest performance boost at almost every level. After launching the first two cards in this sub-series early this month with the GeForce RTX 2070 Super and GeForce RTX 2060 Super, NVIDIA is back again to launch the last (?) of the Super cards: the previously announced GeForce RTX 2080 Super.

ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER AMP Extreme Graphics Card Review

Last week we tested the GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER Mini from ZOTAC, and I have to say, I’m really impressed by its performance, price and of course its compact size. The new SUPER series from Nvidia is quite an impressive range of graphic cards.

Today, we’ll be taking a quick look at the ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER AMP Extreme. It uses the same Turing architecture from Nvidia but now comes with even more CUDA cores, a total of 3072 as opposed to 2944 CUDA cores found on the original RTX 2080. It also runs at a higher base clock rate of 1650 MHz (original is 1515 MHz), with a factory OC boost clock rate of 1875 Mhz (original boost is 1815 MHz), this gives you a performance boost of 8 Giga Rays/sec. Interestingly, the total memory bus speed has now increased to 15.5Gbps, while keeping the same memory capacity of 8GB of GDDR6 ram. It also uses the same 256-bit memory bus giving you a memory bandwidth of 496 Gb/s.
