Microsoft REALLY wants you to upgrade to Windows 8.1

From DailyTech:
As you may have already heard, Microsoft is ending all support of Windows XP on April 8. The operating system, which has been around since the turn of the century, has quite a loyal following. Missteps with Windows Vista meant that many consumers and businesses hung on to Windows XP much longer than Microsoft anticipated.

Now, in order to give users a kick in the butt to upgrade their operating system to something a bit “fresher,” Microsoft will start bombing Windows XP users with pop-up messages. Users who have already opted in to receive automatic Windows Updates will see pop-ups starting on March 8 that note the end of “life support” for Windows XP.
