MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4G

Very much on the heels of the Maxwell and GTX 980 launch was the partner cards and the first GTX 980 model we received much like the 970 we recently looked at is the MSI Gaming 4G edition. First of all the cooler for these cards simply look beastly but also if this card proves to be any shade as impressive as the 970 we saw before then gamers are in for a real treat.

Noontec Zoro II HD Mobile Headphones Review

Noontec may not be as common a brand name as Beats, or Bose or many other fancy audio hardware brands, but they’re certainly gaining in popularity with a steady pace. When I reviewed one of their early products here on eTeknix, the original Noontec Zoro, I was far from impressed with the overall sound quality of their product. Sure the headset looked stunning, but the high price tag wasn’t backed up by premium performance. Today I’m hoping to see and hear a big improvement from the company. I’ve seen a few other Noontec products over the last few months that certainly had some merit, so perhaps the company have brushed up on their technology and made some much needed improvements.

It’s important to mention that Noontec market themselves as a fashion audio brand. Their headphones are designed to be a lifestyle choice for those who feel that their headset needs to look as good as they do. Personally speaking, I’ll wear the ugliest headset on the market if it offers me the best performance, hopefully Noontec can combine great performance with their already well-tailored designs.

The Zoro II HD comes equipped with a 4-pole 3.5mm connector for use on mobile devices, and it even comes with a built-in microphone, making it an ideal choice for use with your smart phone. You can use them to listen to music, but you won’t have to take the headset off to make/answer a call.

Raijintek Morpheus VGA Cooler Review

Most video cards come with an extremely good cooling solution from the factory. There are a few exceptions however; cooling your graphics card is not something many of us are concerned with. In fact OEM coolers are designed to provide just enough cooling to validate a warranty and fit within a pre-determined form factor. So, the question is. How can you get more performance from your GPU?? Easy, you overclock it and for overclocks to be successful you may need better cooling.

In this review we are looking at the Raijintek Morpheus. This is an extreme high performance heatsink for all modern AMD and NVIDIA based video cards. The cooler features a very unique design with a literal maze of heatpipes and a radiator that will rival most tower designs for high-end CPU cooling. An important thing to note is that the Morpheus is designed for high performance cooling and to get that you have to sacrifice a few things.

Windows Technical Preview Install Guide: Clean Install

Simple, but with some extra steps as new builds appear. Since I dive head-first into every conceivable software release imaginable, my desktop PC often gets into an unstable and unreliable state. And with it hitting record lows in the wake of the third Windows Technical Preview build, I figured it was time for a clean install. I'm glad I did so, but some things have changed over the course of the preview, so I watched this install a bit more closely than usual.

Xigmatek Gaia II CPU Cooler Review

When I think of Xigmatek, M-ATX and ITX cases such as the “Nebula” or the “Aquila” spring to mind. These are both really nice compact cases which are competitively priced. They don’t just do cases though, Xigmatek are a vastly expanding company with a large range of products credited to them, including power supplies, fans, a range of accessories and of course coolers.

Xigmatek are back with an update of their Gaia aptly named the Xigmatek Gaia II. The original Gaia was cheap, performed well for the price and was acoustically pleasing. Hopefully the Gaia II will be able to do the same.

As you can see from the specification below, the cooler supports a range of sockets for both Intel and AMD sockets. It comes with a 120mm 4pin PWM fan and features H.D.T technology.
