Battlefield Hardline Benchmarked, Performance Review

Battlefield Hardline showed superb graphics and smooth gameplay when we benchmarked it during last month's week-long public beta, and while the good news was that the game could be played on fairly modest hardware, it didn't quite display Battlefield 4's wow-factor. Developed by Visceral Games, the retail version Hardline is now available and we are back to rerun all the beta tests along with others to see how the frame rates have changed from beta to retail.

Be Quiet! Silent Base 800 Review

Be Quiet! has a bit of price tag which brings it down when it comes to desirability. The temperature charts put the chassis near the worst I've tested. This is not because of poor airflow, but because it was designed around near silent operations, which in turn means slows fans and they don't ramp up when the temperatures start to raise. That is all the gripes I have. While this chassis isn't design for the high performance that many readers have come to expect from a bigger tower. It also doesn't help some chassis like the NZXT H440, is marketed towards one and does the opposite. Just remember you are buying a product geared towards quiet operations that sacrifices a little bit of performance.

Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-2666 32GB Memory Kit Review

In on of our last memory reviews, we took a look at the Crucial CT4K8G4DFD8213, which features a low DDR4-2133 clock speed but is the most affordable 32GB DDR4 kit on the market. As a result, for this review we decided to take a completely different approach, basically a 180° turn. As a result, today we are reviewing a Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4-2666 CL15 memory kit, which is one of the fastest 32GB DDR4 memory kits available, and consequently also one of the more expensive offerings out there. It is substantially more than the 16GB alternative we also reviewed.

OxyLED T-02 Wireless Motion Sensing LED Light Review

I review a lot of things, and lights are one of those things I don’t review a lot of in particular, there’s just not many requests for them honestly. I don’t know why as they’re something that we all need and the technology is changing all the time and this should be something that’s noteworthy, or review-worthy. Today for review though I do have a light, it’s from a company called OxyLED and it’s the T-02, yes not a fancy name but it’s something that I’ve come to be very happy with. The T-02 has 10 LEDs in it, and a motion sensor that only turns it on when it notices motion and will stay on as long as there is motion, but then it will turn itself off automatically. The price is about $16, and it’s very well made of mostly aluminum and it runs on AAA batteries which should last for quite sometime. Read on to learn more..

Patriot Ignite 480GB Solid State Drive Review

We have not seen a new solid state drive from Patriot in a while. Over the past couple years they sort of took a step back from the SSD industry and focused more on flash memory products and mobile accessories. Well it looks like they are back full a line of solid state drives. Today we will be taking a look at their Ignite drive, which sits at the top of the pack. This drive is powered by the Phison’s latest S10 controller and offers sequential read and write speeds of 560 MB/s and 545 MB/s respectively. The Corsair Neutron XT drive, which took home a perfect 10 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award is also based on the same Phison S10 controller so we are expecting good things from the Ignite. Will it perform? Read on as we find out!

If you have ever bought a SilverStone case, you would probably agree that the price can be easily justified by the over-the-top build quality and the unique designs that can only be obtained by buying one of the many cases that SilverStone has available. Zyxel NAS540 Review

Marketed as a four-bay personal cloud appliance, the NAS540 is Zyxel's offering in the tricky crossover market covering both demanding consumers and price-sensitive small businesses. The leading NAS vendors all want a share of this action which means stiff competition for the NAS540 which, although well specified, falls short in a couple of key areas. A good startA compact and affordable desktop storage appliance, the NAS540 sells for around £180 ex VAT without disks (around $270, AU$350) and is little bigger than the four 3.5 or 2.5-inch drives it's built to hold. It also looks very smart thanks to a curved cube design with a removable access panel over the storage held on by magnets.Take this panel off and underneath are four bright orange plastic caddies with snap-in fixings to allow standard 3.5-inch SATA disks to be secured without the need for screws. Opt for 2.5-inch disks, however, and you'll need to get the screwdriver out.
