Anandtech: Intel Core i7-11700K Review: Blasting Off with Rocket Lake

The march on performance with desktop platforms has unique challenges compared to other platforms. Peak single thread throughput is often considered the Holy Grail, with a fast follow up of good multi-core and all-core performance given the nature of how desktop platforms are used with background processes and multiple concurrent applications. In order to bring its best single core performance to the desktop market, Intel had to redesign its 10nm product on 14nm, which combines the high throughput of the design with the high frequency of 14nm. These redesigned Cypress Cove cores form the basis of Intel’s new 11th Gen Desktop Processor Family, Rocket Lake. Today we are reviewing the Core i7-11700K, an eight-core processor with hyperthreading able to boost up to 5.0 GHz.

LanOC Reviews: Logitech Pro X Superlight

In late 2018 Logitech introduced their G Pro Wireless gaming mouse which for the first time showed that lightweight mice could be wireless. Weight was just starting to take off with enthusiasts and Logitech was quick to innovate on the wireless side. At the time I was already sporting the G703 with their PowerPlay mousepad that wirelessly charges so the move to a mouse that is similar in shape to what I prefer that would be lighter weight and wireless was a no-brainer. Even with all of the other mice that have come into the office, on my main PC, I always end up back using the G Pro Wireless. So when rumors of a new lighter weight model starter to take off I couldn’t wait. Well, I finally got my hands on the new Pro X Superlight and I can see what all has changed.

Legit Reviews: Kew Labs UTS-1 Wireless Charger Review

Have you ever thought about how nice it would be to have a Qi wireless charger underneath an existing piece or furniture or thing in your home? The folks over at Kew Lab’s developed a Qi charger called the UTS-1 that is capable of long distance communication for non-metallic surfaces that are up to 1-inch thick. Anandtech: Best SSDs: March 2021

SSD prices are trending up this month as the semiconductor shortages have begun to noticeably affect the retail SSD market. This is a little different from other shortages that have hit the SSD market in recent years: NAND flash memory is not whats in short supply but rather SSD controllers, PMICs and other chips that are fighting for limited fab capacity; NAND flash is manufactured in its own special-purpose fabs. Fortunately the effects are minor so far: increases of a few dollars here and there. Many of the affected products are showing limited supply but not major price increases. Weve tried to avoid listing prices for products that are backordered by more than a week or two.

BigBruin: Novostella 20W RGBCW Smart LED Flood Light

The Novostella 20W RGBCW smart LED flood lights are a big hit at my house, as I like being able to program (white) lights to come on at night, and the kids like turning it into a rainbow swirled party simply by speaking to Google. The lights are vibrant and very bright and having the Smart Life app sync their controls is working very well. It has been a very cold and snowy winter so far, and these lights add for an extra touch of fun in the snow as we snow tube into the night.
