AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Review

For the most part, the Ryzen 5 2600X is going to perform in an expected envelope. There is nothing wrong with this, as the Second Generation of processors will outperform previous-generation SKU's. While I did not have a 2700X on hand to test, the results from the Ryzen 5 2600X were respectable on many counts. With the newest advances, performance still does not reach Core i7 8700K levels in the content creation and rendering tests, but when it comes to gaming the Ryzen 5 2600X does well when compared to the Intel Core i7 8700K.

AORUS XTREME RTX 2080 Graphics Card Review

The RTX launch has been an exciting one for me. Obviously, it’s great as I get many new GPUs to play around with. However, I also love seeing the performance battle between brands and I’m always eager to see which comes out on top; no doubt the brands and our readers are too. The new Aorus Xtreme looks set to tackle the high-performance crown for the RTX 2080 range. It comes equipped with a big factory overclock, a big cooler, the swankiest RGB lighting around, and plenty more features beyond that. Obviously, it’s not going to topple the faster Ti series cards, but how does it stack up against its 2080 rivals?

This card breaks out from the crowd before we even test it. Every RTX card we’ve seen, from RTX 2070 to RTX 2080 Ti’s have had identical display connections; 1 x HDMI, 3 x DP, 1 x Type-C. However, this one has a whopping seven display outputs, giving you three DP and three HDMI, as well as the Type-C. It’s also featuring three of the biggest fans, with triple 100m models, all with their addressable RGB lighting on the tips of the fans, as well as on various card components. Throw in a 12+2 Power Phase design, and we’re off to a flying start.

ASUS ROG STRIX B360-I Gaming Motherboard Review

ASUS ASUS is a company that generally needs no introduction. It is one of the largest and most well-known brands in enthusiast circles. Not only has the company been around for decades, but it has a wide product portfolio with a massive presence in both retail and online outlets. ASUS is one of the most innovative brands in the business with products ranging from motherboards, servers, workstations, routers, laptops, and gaming peripherals to cell phones.

In the last few years, ASUS has expanded its Republic of Gamers brand to include a wider range of products. ROG used to represent only the pinnacle of ASUS’ offerings and technological expertise. Now, the brand has become far more inclusive and price conscious with offerings that still maintain a gaming focus, but, fall into a far more budget friendly price point than the ROG products of old. ASUS has a sort of marketing pyramid that they’ve shown which breaks down how things work. Essentially, ROG is the top of the pile with ROG STRIX covering a mid-range of the gaming spectrum as far as motherboards are concerned.

FSP Hydro PTM 650W Power Supply Review

Its quite an expensive unit, but is it technically a good one to buy? The Hydro PTM 650W is a mid-capacity power supply that targets a very competitive market. Razer Mamba Wireless Review

Gaming on wireless peripherals has always been something I’m not very comfortable with. Even the claims of non existent latency haven’t really been enough to get me to give it a go. I’m not sure why, just something I’ve never been keen on. I guess it comes with long since past experiences where things just didn’t work so well and I’ve stuck to wired. Enter the Razer Mamba Wireless.
