AMD Radeon R9 290X vs NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 at 4K @ Legit Reviews
Yesterday, AMD released the Radeon R9 290X video card at $549 that was able to outperform the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 in the majority of benchmarks that we ran. We tested at 1920x1080, 2560x1600 and 5760x1080 resolutions over six game titles and two synthetic benchmarks, but our testing didn't feel complete. Many gamers are starting to wonder about 4K gaming, so we got our hands on the Sharp PN-K321 32" 4K Ultra HD Monitor to bring you some 4K testing. We know that not many people are gaming at 4K and have talked about that before on the site, but we wanted to jump aboard the 4K bandwagon before it becomes popular and the norm. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan is likely the first choice for NVIDIA fans to do some 4K testing. We were going to use that card at first, but other sites have already done that comparison and at over $1,000, it doesn't really match up well on the price front. We opted to go with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780! Read on to see how the GeForce GTX 780 and Radeon R9 290X do when it comes to 4K gaming!

Vantec NexStar HX2R Hard Drive Enclosure Review @ ThinkComputers.org
Who says you can never have enough storage. Well you really can not have too much. I myself have a few different computers around my house for different tasks, and I like to back them up and also share files over the network. External hard drives and enclosures are a great tool for keeping around your house or even on the go. There are so many different enclosures and NAS boxes on the market. Some do RAID, other's do JBOD, some can hold only 1 drive and some can go up to 4 drives. Some of the cool things with the technology of the past few years is that we now have eSATA and USB 3.0. USB 3.0 offers up to 5 Gbps while eSATA offers less speed at around 3 Gbps. So today we will be reviewing the Vantec NexStar HX2R dual SATA Hard Drive Enclosure, so stick around and see if it would make a nice addition to your desk or office.

MSI X79-GD45 Plus Motherboard Review (inc. CPU Gaming Performance Comparison) @ KitGuru
Today we are going to look at the Aerocool Strike-X Air which is a very innovative chassis, designed to appeal to those enthusiasts who spend a lot of time inside their PC and change hardware frequently. It uses an open design, similar to a test bench, which features a large mesh cover to hide the components

Patriot SuperSonic Magnum 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive @ NikKTech
Have you ever had the feeling that no matter how much available space you carry around with you it's just never enough when the time comes to actually put it to good use? Well to be entirely honest i have felt that quite a few times in my life but what's really even more annoying is to have plenty of available storage space with you only to find out that there's not enough speed to make use of it all in the time window that you have. The introduction of USB 3.0 a few years back was a step towards the right direction since in theory it's up to 10 times faster than the older USB 2.0 but to date with the exception of portable SSDs there aren't really many storage related media that come even close to its possible data transfer speeds and that includes the majority of USB 3.0 compatible flash drives in the market. Well Patriot Memory wants to change or at least improve on that and so their latest SuperSonic Magnum USB 3.0 Flash Drive line doesn't only offer capacities up to 256GB but it's also pretty much as fast as it gets (at least currently).

Lenovo Erazer X700 PC Gaming Computer System Review @ Benchmark Reviews
It's been years since I've bought a pre-built desktop computer, so I was interested in the opportunity to check out the Erazer X700 Gaming System that Lenovo offered to us to review. The Erazer occupies a space between the sub-$500 generic boxes most people are satisfied with and the expensive boutique systems at the other end of the scale.

Patriot Viper 3 Low Profile 2133MHz Memory Review @ Hardware-360
In a list of crimes committed against children during Halloween, euphemistically named “fun”-sized candy ranks up there beside razor-laden apples and healthy snack alternatives. There is nothing fun about getting 1/3 the size of a regular chocolate bar, just ask Saddam Hussein who during his last days of freedom was found surviving on these diminutive snacks while living on a 6×6 ft hole-in-the-ground or as his marketing team called it, the “fun”-sized bunker.

When it comes to DDR3 memory heat spreaders, the marketing push seems to be the other way around in terms of size. Large heat spreaders were understandable during the days of DDR and DDR2 when those memory modules required large amounts of voltage to function at higher speeds. It did not really make sense when lower voltage and cooler running DDR3 became the norm. Sales numbers were probably better for kits that are clad with larger heat spreaders, thus the resistance of memory manufacturers to offer lower height modules even on their mainstream product line. This trend of large heat spreaders limiting cooling options was definitely not amusing.

AMD Radeon R9 290X Review @ Hexus
AMD launched a number of new graphics cards a couple of weeks back. But examining the details showed that the R9 280X, R9 270X, and R7 260X - the three headline GPUs - were largely rebrands of older technology. Countering a lack of genuine GPU advancement, AMD's attractive pricing makes the new cards reasonably compelling propositions.

The new, interesting GPU is the R9 290X, built using a brand-new die and designed for class-leading performance. Codenamed Hawaii and intent on a stare down with Nvidia's impressive GeForce GTX Titan and GTX 780 GPUs, today is reckoning day.
