APH Networks: GAMDIAS AEOLUS M3-1204R Review

A few years ago, I was a graduate student doing research every day. My research topic was about improving wireless communication efficiency for Internet of Things, or IoT, applications. The assumption is that there could be a large number of low power wireless devices randomly transmitting packets to the Internet and those devices can only use the resource-limited license-free radio band. As a result, it is likely that two or more devices would transmit at the same time, causing collisions and consequently resulting in lost packets. Improving communication efficiency means reducing the chance of collisions, so these devices will not waste time and energy on retransmissions. I think this kind of research is valuable, since we do have more and more electrical devices that have wireless communication functions. For example, now we have smart refrigerators that need to be wirelessly connected to the Internet, smart light bulbs that can be remotely controlled by our phones, and even smart coffee makers that have Bluetooth modules in them. In other words, any appliance, electronic device, and even vehicle can be wirelessly connected. This is no exception for PC components. For today's review unit, the GAMDIAS AEOLUS M3-1204R four-fan pack, can be controlled remotely through a remote control. Is this a revolutionary design that can reform our understanding of how PC fans can work, or is it just an ordinary set of fans with some fancy yet unnecessary add-on? Let us read on and find out!

IgorsLAB: Family reunion: Sharkoon S90 RGB CPU AiO compact water cooling in review

Since we have already looked at the two smaller models, i.e. the inexpensive S70 and S80 with a 240mm radiator, we will only give the "big brother" a quick look today. This is visually identical to the S80 RGB, but has a larger radiator. In the following review, you can find out how Sharkoon's first AiO water cooler compares.

TechPowerUp: FiiO FT3 Open-Back Dynamic Driver Headphones Review

FiiO enters the open-back, over-ear headphones market with the FT3. It uses novel 60 mm dynamic drivers with a Be-plated surround and a DLC diaphragm in a unique, all-aluminium chassis and is paired with a high-quality cable and two sets of ear pads for a refreshingly different warm-neutral sound without breaking the bank.

PC Inquisitor: ASRock B650E PG Riptide WiFi ATX Motherboard Review

The B650E PG Riptide builds upon the features of ASRock’s budget B650 models. Is it worth the extra cost?

Hardware Busters: FSP Hydro Ti Pro 1000W PSU Review

FSP is known for its strong cooperation with the brand be quiet! which has a significant presence in the German market. It has also cooperated with EVGA for the G5 and G7 PSU lines. Besides selling its platforms to other brands, FSP keeps its retail channel. This is not new to the OEM world, with Seasonic and Super Flower doing the same. The Hydro Ti Pro 1000 uses a new platform, which has not been given so far to any other brand, making it highly interesting. Besides the standard Hydro Ti Pro unit, FSP was kind enough to send me a limited edition. The only difference is in the exterior coating, from which I will share some photos. I didn’t test this special edition, only the standard model.
