Yea, it IS a good site for testing how secure your webbrowser is as well as its peripheral files like Java. java script , and/or plugins!
I got wind of it talking to Opera 8.0's developers in their chatroom on IRC online last nite - NICE guys and good people who have made a GREAT webbrowser (highest share in market vs. IE that are not freeware (Mozilla/FireFox) & here are its results:
====================================================================================
Primary/ONLY: OPERA 8.0:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Browser Security Test is finished. Please find the results below:
High Risk Vulnerabilities 0
Medium Risk Vulnerabilities 0
Low Risk Vulnerabilities 0
====================================================================================
To run the test? I believe you need to have Java and java script ing active in your browsers though...
(Which here, ordinarily for security purposes, I leave turned off & probably still will leave those turned off until I hit a page the DEMANDS I use them, just to be safe though)
SO, according to this test though & its results? Looks like I don't have to anymore with Opera 8.0 either though really!
(Opera's a great browser, especially in version 8.0! It's programmed in pure C, as fast & efficient as it gets, with integrated email, chat, and the BEST resume broken download feature in the business in its downloads manager. I read it has the HIGHEST % of the browser market in commercial competitors to IE (FireFox/Mozilla have more, but don't cost anything either, big competitive advantage))!
* Anyways - Glad you guys find it useful, bookmark/fav that one I say!
